Wanted to like it but doesn’t work for me

Really wanted to like this product as most toilet deodorizing blocks are made to drop in the tank but there are two problems with that method. First, it’s really hard on your toilet parts and second, I have some air flush (commercial) toilets that have a sealed upper tank. The only way to freshen the toilet is to use a rim hanger such as this product. No matter how much I fiddled with it, I could not get any water to run over it. It has a fin that is adjustable on one half that is supposed to make it fit tight against bowl but it basically did nothing. I literally flushed 100 times and the water never turned blue (if I dunked it in the water it would turn light blue but once I put it back on the rim, not enough water would run over it to work). Didn’t mean to run on so much about such a simple product but for this much money, it should at least work adequately. 3 different toilet designs all gave the same result. No good smell and no blue (or even slightly blue) water.
