Good set of JIS screw drivers

I am a HAM operator and own a couple of Japanese radio. For some reason, the Japanese manufacturers insist on this JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) tooling. I think they do it to minimize self repair, but I digress. If you try and use SAE standard Philips screw drivers on these radios, you will end up damaging the screw heads. There are often grumpy old timers who insist they can use SAE tools on Japanese radios, but please don’t believe them. These are very sturdy and compatible JIS tools. They fit the screw heads and will tighten and loosen without damaging the screws. Note, these do not work well on standard Philips screws. They will damage them. Use this set for JIS screws only!!

Great drivers, just limited size selection.

These are great. I use them on Japanese import motorcycles. Often times, engine components use JIS screws in them, and this set is great for the typical sizes that are present in motorcycle engines. I wish there was a few more drivers in the kit with more varying sizes and tip types, but this is great for having in the toolbox. Highly recommend for the home mechanic.

Great for Motorcycle and ATV

If you own or work on motorcycles or atv's these are a must have. The screws on the carbs are JIS and these screwdrivers actually fir them. Same for the throttle covers and front break reservoir covers that you're always stripping out.

Must have for small engine work

If you work on or have Japanese carbs or engines these are a must have in the tool box. They do not strip the heads on foreign carburetors.

JSC screwdriver set

Needed a set of JIS screwdrivers to be able to open ans work on JDM items like Ham radios. Pro- you get 4 different sized screwdrivers. Cons- the handles are not very ergonomic, feel like cheap plastic, and unable to firmly grasp and screw at the same time. For the value it is not a bad product, perhaps update the handles for more sure handling.

These drivers are great! I have used them for about 2 weeks now in two old Japanese bikes, one Honda, and one Kawasaki. They fit and hold the screw like a torx bit. Why do they even make Philips drivers? The JIS is so superior. I would not have know if I hadn’t tried it. See the picture below of a screw holding the screwdriver on its side. The set is smaller than it looks. The biggest driver is at best a medium sized driver. But other than that they are awesome. Just thought I was getting a big, medium and a small.
