Very disappointed. Stained and marked up. Returning

I ordered a Damen + Hastings wallet specifically because I have another one that I've had for over 5 years now and use daily and it has held up beautifully. Recently had my wallet stolen, then returned minus the cash...and have decided after that to keep 2 wallets so that I am never again without all cards and access to cash if that were to ever happen again. This wallet arrived stained, with black marks on it, some blotching in the leather...just really poor quality. QC must have been on vacation the day it passed through. Will try one more time see if I can get one that's good.

Quality Leather in an RFID compact zippered men’s wallet but with one issue for me...

ITEM: Damen & Hastings Men’s RFID Zippered Card Case Wallet in Navy Blue PRICE AT TIME OF REVIEW: $ 32.50 (very reasonable and an inline price for quality compact leather wallet) AMAZON SIMILAR ITEMS: ----- Couldn’t find a similar design & size----- FEATURES: … Good – RFID feature for internal card areas … Good – True Quality Leather and Stitching … Good – Compact Rectangular Size … Concern – Outside clear window not appropriate for DLs or Govt. IDs … Concern – The thickness is 5/8” even when empty … Concern – When filled as shown in my video, overall thickness is 1” MY OPINION: While this is certainly a quality wallet, I can’t use the outside windowed card holder for my ID card as it can’t be hidden unless you put the wallet away; typically in a pocket. And because I do show my ID daily, it requires a quick-open design with two clear windows. My current wallet, as I show in my video, has both that feature and can hold just about all my cards, less cash. But I put my cash in a separate pocket and in a money-clip device. My issue with the wallet can’t be changed unless two fold-over flaps were to be designed into the outside of the zippered wallet. I doubt that’s practical. I do like the zippered design for keeping cash. But I usually separate my cards from my cash to limit loss of both at one time and in one wallet device. But outside of my needs, when looking at this as a wallet for those who don’t have those needs, I feel it’s a high quality wallet. I’d recommend it but with a caution that the outside show-window really isn’t practical if you’re planning on stowing an ID or card that has personal information. There’s no protective cover designed into this particular wallet.

Very small and overpriced

This wallet is real leather and it feels nice when you hold it, but it's smaller than I expected. Most people could not replace their regular wallet with this, but it's good if you have to travel light for the day. You can just take your ID, a few credit cards, and a bit of cash with you. Despite the leather, this is not a $30 wallet. I would say it's worth about $15-$20. If you have to spend more than that, I would look elsewhere. For some reason the zipper only extends to 2 sides of the wallet, instead of 3 sides like you would normally expect. The contents inside are still fairly secure, but it would be easier for something to fall out if the zipper is pulled down a bit on one side, so keep that in mind if you are carrying cash or anything valuable in this wallet.

My favorite wallet - fits a lot, well-made

Can't say enough about how much I love this thing. First, the look and feel. It is a nice looking wallet. Looks like leather, feels like leather, doesn't look cheap. The color doesn't fade or rub off on clothing/hands. The zipper is sturdy and has no signs of loosening up or any issues opening/closing after using for about two months straight. Now for the utility of it. I can fit about 30 bills inside, about 15 on each side of the inner compartment, before it gets too bulky/troublesome to close. That's way better than I expected for this style wallet - I'm used to only fitting like 10 bills in one this size, but it manages to expand quite a bit (and seems designed to do so). The zipper opens up the two separate, equally sized compartments, and that's a huge plus too. Again, used to having just one slot for bills, so I can separate small bills from big bills now. The card slots, plus the ID slot on the back that is transparent, are nice and tight. No issues getting cards in them, and removal is easy unless you cram more than 2 into the same slot. So, I suggest sticking with 2 per slot, maximum, which is plenty for me. I've yet to have anything slide or fall out of this after some heavy usage. Plus it shows no signs of wear yet. Such a simple thing but I love it. I'll buy another in the future and recommend to buddies of mine. Only wallet I use now. Oh, and it does RFID blocking, so that's just a bonus.

Great little wallet

I immediately transfer everything from my old wallet to this one. I like the design, the transparent plastic vertical ID holder on the outside allows my driver's license to be seen easily and the color is as vibrant as it is on the site! The wallet is made of real leather, it feels very soft and seems very durable, and it has a lot of space and I literally can fit it in my pocket! The only downside is that this wallet comes with a little stain, anyway, it does not bother me that much, so I will still give it a positive review.

So much use in such a small space

Beautiful leather. Thick, quality zipper. Small like a front pocket wallet. It's also the perfect Navy. Not black but navy blue. My old RFID front pocket was stretched from constantly pulling out cards. So just using the inside pockets & outside ID slot for biz cards. Inside, I have 4 CC's & a couple biz cards on one side. 8 bills, ID & 3 gift/rewards cards on the other. Plus a middle change spot. Wallet was full & zipper easily sealed shut. Nice looking & multi-functional small wallet. Completely worth the 5 Stars & 2 Thumbs Up.

Minimalist wallet with the ability to hold change and keys...

On a scale of 1 to 10, one being the smallest of the minimalist wallets, and ten being the largest of minimalist wallets... this wallet falls on the larger side. Don't get me wrong, it is still simple and smaller than standard wallets, but because of the zippered design, it is bulkier than other minimalist wallets. But that's the trade-off you'll have to accept for the ability to hold change and keys, which other minimalist wallets cannot do. I like it. 5-Stars!
