Surprisingly warm. Zipper may catch.

During winter in the desert you get down to a low of about 35F, but usually around 45-50F with a cold north wind. I have been looking for a light jacket that can cut the wind, is warm enough to walk about a bit, and has a hood. This jacket fills the bill. Yes, it is a bit noisy from the thin 100% nylon outer shell, but thanks to the thin inner fleece liner, it keeps you warm. I have worn much heavier jackets that do not cut the wind like this one does. I find myself going to this jacket more and more on cold mornings. The only problem I have with the jacket, is that the zipper can catch on the nylon, so you have to be careful when zipping. A real find.

Good jacket with one flaw

This is my second one of these, so it’s obvious that I like it. (I accidentally ruined the first one. My bad.). The lining is nice and keeps me warm on all but very cold days. My only beef is this: there’s a “weather flap” underneath the zipper and this flap often gets caught in the zipper. Then the zipper is stuck and takes a lot of jiggling to free it. This same problem has occurred on both jackets. Aside from that, I’m happy. I ordered my normal size (Large) and it fits but somewhat snug. You might want to consider one size larger than you normally wear.

Nice jacket

Nice and warm, zippers are small

This jacket is very comfortable and plenty warm for a lightweight jacket. I bought this to replace my Port Authority, which has been an excellent product. The jacket is nice but the zippers are small toothed steel and have small handles. It's very difficult to open/close the pockets with one hand because it's hard to find the tiny handles and then the metal zippers are stubborn to slide open or closed. You have to use one hand to hold the jacket and another to pull the handles. There is no inside pocket, which would have been nice for holding a cell phone. The outer pockets are comfortable but my cell phone can fall out if not zipped up. If the zippers were larger, plastic with larger handles then I would have given the jacket 5 stars, even without the missing inner pocket.

Great light jacket

I was looking for a casual hooded jacket that is water resistant, and warmer than a windbreaker but not heavy or thick. I looked at hundreds online and that’s amazingly hard to find. I love that it’s lined everywhere including the sleeves and hood with a cottony feeling soft jersey fabric instead of some annoying mesh that catches on everything or a cold slick nylon… it adds a light layer of warmth and feels MUCH better on my arms when I wear short sleeves. And the price is another plus: high value for the money. The only thing is the outer shell is nylon taffeta so it does make a bit of swooshing noise as you move, but most windbreakers do also. And they’re not lined. This jacket will be perfect for Seattle fall / winter and temperatures down to about 40 I’d guess, where there’s often might rain so the hood will come in handy. Amazon recommended a medium, but I found that too big; small is perfect. I’m 5’7” 160 lbs and usually wear medium in shirts.
