“SOFT AND LIGHTWEIGHT” Believe it!

I’ve purchased these pants for my dad several times the past few years (and once for myself). The description from Champion of “SOFT & LIGHTWEIGHT - Lightweight jersey fabric is just as soft and comfortable as your favorite tee” should be on top, underlined and in bold print. So very many reviews from folks upset that these aren’t regular sweatpants and are thin as a t-shirt. From my experience, navy blue and black are heaviest, charcoal and oxford are lightest. As warm-weather sweats, these do the job. The inside of the waistband starts getting scratchy from fraying on day 1…it irritates me but my dad isn’t bothered by it at all.

Comfy

Weather here is hot & humid, but I can wear these without getting overheated. Lightweight & comfortable. Recommend wash in cold water, hang to dry (length will shrink about 2 inches if put in dryer). I've purchased at least 6 pairs over the past 3 years. Perfect for my retirement wardrobe!

My son loves these!

My son has a smaller pair that he has owed for years. He grew a few inches, both in height and width and I had to buy a bigger pair. My son is 6'3.5" and 215#. Had to move him to Big and Tall as he needs the length. All legs. They are comfortable and quality.

Good quality. Amazing fit

Pros: Fabric is breathable, but not as insulated as normal sweat pants. Good to wear around the house, but in winter weather it's not going to provide much insulation. Cons: At 60°-75° F they are comfortable. Colder and I needed a blanket. Warmer and I had to change. The waistband tends to fray. I keep having to cut threads away. No other issues with materials.

Depends on why you want these

I'll be frank, and you can be tony. While in the bag these pants look like the real deal, complete with the embroidered logo and tags. Upon removal, though, they give off a malodorous chemical scent (imagine plastic mixed with dye). The good news is this does fade after letting them air out for about a day (or you could just wash them right away). Before first wash and wear, these do not seem to be made of 100% cotton. The feel of the fabric, excluding the waist band, is a bit stiff and somewhat synthetic. My conclusion is either the cotton is mercerized (chemically treated to avoid stretching and to both accept and retain dye better) or it is some kind of cotton/cheap polyester blend. Surprisingly, the waistband is incredibly soft. The stitching is well done throughout and will most likely not come undone or break easily. Now, I'm on the short side... under 5'6, and my midsection is basically a tank, but I've been cursed with chicken legs. Obviously, these are too long for me. I think they would probably be the perfect length for a dude that's about 5'9" to 5'11." The waist fits me great and I don't even have to adjust the drawstring. Thanks to the straight leg design, my legs appear normal. (If only it could make my arms look bigger, too....) Ok yeah, I don't work out at all. I just want pants to wear at home that are comfortable. In that aspect, the pants are great. In addition, as long as no one were to touch them, I don't think anyone would notice that these aren't a pair normal Champion brand sweatpants. The pockets are a good size. I can put my wallet and phone in one pocket and my keys in the other with no problem at all. All in all, I'm a bit conflicted about how to rate these. There's an equal amount of pros and cons. That's why I went with 4 stars. I do like them and I'm going to keep wearing them indoors or, I don't know, maybe I'll actually go outside...? ???? They might be knockoffs, they might not, but if they are then whoever made these should send in an application to somewhere nice because they did a good job with these. ????

Good everyday pant

Not stylish, a bit baggy and basic, but comfortable, great after the shower or lounging at home. Good quality. A very scratchy waist elastic. Good, but not great, quality. Fit is as expected. Summer weight.

Quality Garment

Well made, fits well and made from quality material. A welcome change to the 'skinny' style that everyone seems to favour nowadays which make most folks legs look like noodles.

Not what I expected

They're fine, however not what I expected. This could be my own fault though, I think I just didn't read the description completely. The material is thin and not comfy. I was expecting the sweatpants to be thick and a bit soft/fabric on the inside, but they're quite thin and flimsy. I'm hoping after a wash it will be softer. The pockets are nice and it fits as expected, so if you're looking for something thin and loose, then you would be happy I'm sure. If you're expecting a higher quality sweatpant with more fabric and thicker, you will be disappointed.
