Super thin but comfortable

I purchased these while trying to find a replacement for other older Russell shorts I have. These drop to the knees which I don't care for on length. The pockets on this style are usable and deep enough that everything doesn't immediately fall out when moving or sitting down. Super duper thin but not actually see through like the "mesh" short they have available. Not worth sending back, but will try a different type moving forward to see if I can find something more like their older and thicker material shorts that break higher up the thigh.

Comfortable: very. Durability: less than zero.

Fit well, look great, and super comfortable. They make terrific chillin' at da crib shorts. They tear if you sneeze too hard, tho. So don't buy 'em for any type of activity outside of goblin mode gaming binges. I bought two pair and both were ripped beyond wear or repair in less than two weeks. One pair was ripped to shreds in a basketball game. The other pair snagged on a flimsy bush while mowing the lawn and nearly tore off entirely the first time i wore them. Bummer, broh.. effing bummer. Thank Christ I was wearing compression shorts underneath.

Good for work out!

I bought several pair of these. They are great for working out and very lightweight. Only dinged it one star as the are really long and come down to me knees. Still, good product!

Football coach loves these

Got these for my husband who coaches high school football. Practices start during summer and he loves these for the crazy hot days. Plus it's not easy finding men's shorts in purple (school colors)!!

Russell Athletic Dri power performance short with pockets

Purchased for my Big guy husband. He reports they fit well, however, they are a lower quality and maybe too thin... Washed and dried well. Not sure how long they will last, time will tell. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. Comfortable and quality made

They fit perfectly, even after I lost a lot of weight. Elastic is very good quality. Material breathes and never feels constrained even in hot humid extreme temperatures such as +40. Only complaint is the secondary elastic band to tie the shorts, is too short and ends up pulling back inside the band.

Tested and compared; a winner!

I purchased both Russell Athletic and another slightly more expensive brand to compare, and to my surprise, the Russell shorts (both Dri-Power and the Mesh options) are not only slightly cheaper, they fit better and the quality is better as well! The braided loop tie-cords looked similar on all the models (except Dri-Power, which has an elastic-y traditional tie-cord) but to my surprise, one of the tie-cords already began to fray on the other brand's mesh short. I've worn these Russell shorts a few times now and they're holding up great. My only complaint is that I'm a short guy and these shorts go all the way to my knees but that's not a bother when I'm on the court. I highly recommend Russell Athletic shorts (especially the Dri-Power Performance models).

would rather have this in their mesh shorts but they dont have this color available but these are great shorts nonetheless... they fit longer than expected (I'm 5'6" and they go to the bottom of my knees)
