I normally buy the liquid, but decided to try the gel this time around. I don't noticed much of a difference in application, and the color works just as well.

Meh...

Color came out flat and dull, and left my hair super dry. I've been using wella products for YEARS and this is the 1st time I haven't been happy with my experience.

Not black enough

Not sure if I'm not saturating my hair enough but I notice that there is a brown hue in certain light. It doesn't seem quite as black and it should be.

The smell is too much but it works really well.

This is a really nice black color. It is gel which I am not used to bit I like it better than the creme kind. I will likely keep getting this because it worked so well but I absolutely hate the smell. It's very parfumey and chemical smelling.
