Love the feeder
This is my first cat automatic feeder ever. And so far I love it. Why didn’t I buy it before. My 4 cats are fat and need to get portioned meals to shed weight. One of my cats is a begger and he stopped asking for food and now looks at the feeder when he wants to eat:) the other one is still a little afraid of the noise it makes but she is coming around slowly. I only got it two days ago. I bought 1 double feeder which is this one and two single once of the same brand, so I can use one of them for the shy girl that likes to eat alone. Love the portion size and 6 times schedule. And they don’t have to wait for me to wake up in the morning. Also I asked the question about the size of portion being less in double feeder then in the single on, and I feel so dumb that I didn’t realize that it is the same portion but big feeder divides the portion in two lol. Thanks to kind people for pointing it out:) I double the portions in the double feeder to make all portions the same size and it worked. Overall, definitely recommend. Both sizes of the feeders work perfectly so far.

So far so good!
It's perfect for my cats. Here are two adjustments you will likely have to make: This has a rotor, so the bowl that is closest to the "opening" or the side that it turns (right turn, right bowl) will get more food. That's the real reason why you need the food adjustment toggle for two cats. It's not a flaw, it's just how it works. The portions are not what they say. You will need to press the button to release and measure a portion (maybe twice) to get an idea of what the average portion will be. When I relied on the instructions for portion sizes, it was overfeeding by 1/2 cup. But it's literally a granary that releases various sized kibble, so it's pretty accurate in that respect.

Doesn't completely fill the bowl
I bought this because I was out of town for about 72 hours and couldnt find a cat sitter last minute. (Shout out to Amazon for delivering the day before i needed to leave). It kept my cats fed, which is what is important. However, it gives an error message if the bowls are a little less than half full due to the food getting stuck in the chutes. I feed about 3 cups of dry food a day and it gets stuck about 3 (out of 5) times. The way you choose the amount fed throughout the day is odd -- lots of trial and error to figure it out. I will probably try to set up a long tray instead of the bowls to see if that helps with the food getting stuck.

Foster Cat Mom Approved!
As someone with multiple cats, I was looking for an automatic dispenser with metal bowls so I could put them in the dishwasher to disinfect them. The product is versatile in how much food is dispensed and at what times, so you can make the schedule as personal as you want. 10/10 recommend!

Loved until the sides weren’t cat-proof
Honestly loved it so much aesthetically and technologically I bought 3 double bowls for my 6 cats (until my cat learned to break it open with the sides). The lock feature on the top of cat-proof but the sides were able to be pry’d open with my cat biting on it and pulling up, releasing a whole two weeks of food and a whole mess. It really needs a better lock feature there and I really enjoyed it but feeling like I spent money for it to be pry’d open after a week.

Easy cat feeding
The biggest issue was knowing how much food dispenses for each of the 1-50 settings. There is no guide indicating how much is dispensed at each setting so there is some trial and error at first. The first time I dispensed food, it kept going and going. My cat would have been very happy but I had kibble everywhere.

It works
Reviewing after a year of use . We tried few feeders before but this is the only one we kept . You can clearly see when is low on food . I wish it had a divider since my cats are a little shy to eat side by side . It is very secure , my cat tried to open the lid but he couldn’t because is locked . When my cat get his paws inside the feeder , food doesn’t come out as other feeders . It has an option for a quick single portion, very convenient for a quick meal. It does have other options that I haven’t used so not sure how good they are . When unplugged still has memory for the time and last settings , not sure for how many minutes after unplugging , but it has kept setting for 1 or 2 minutes .

The buttons on mine don’t work unless I do some specific things. But I got a used one. Otherwise it works exactly how it should and is easy to assemble and the instructions are great. The cats I got it for have started to learn it’s schedule ????

Promising dispenser as cats have yet to break into it!
One of my cats is food obsessed and can pull the lid straight off a wet food dispenser. In desperation for some extra sleep in the morning, I thought I'd try a dry food dispenser as they looked more tamper proof. I chose this one based on reviews, although I was concerned to see one person's cat managed to get into the settings immediately. It's not a button as I assumed- they actually have to touch the correct part of the dispenser for three seconds to unlock the settings. My food obsessive did exactly the same thing and the second day I was confused to find the dispenser did not go off. This was the cat's fault, as he had changed the time from AM to PM. Realising that the cat was not interested in the dispenser when it was turned off, I used two bits of velcro to wrap around the buttons. This was a perfect fit and even if he messes with the buttons now, nothing happens as he can't touch it through the velcro. Success! For now anyway. There was a scary moment where my more well behaved cat tried to tip the whole thing over but it seemed sturdy enough and I doubt either of them will ever be able to unscrew the lid. It's a bit of a nightmare to set up and I was constantly having to go through the settings to get it right, but once it's done it's done. For those of you that were similarly confused to me, a portion is around 2.5 teaspoons. Not a lot, but as I feed mainly wet, mine only get a bit to graze on once a day so it was fairly easy to calculate. The voice recording is rubbish and not really worth bothering with. You have to shout and even then it's barely audible. The tinkling of the biscuits into the bowls is louder and will get the cats' attention. The divider between the bowls is a bit poor as well as biscuits sometimes get trapped around the sides. Thanks to the velcro I'm finding it was worth the money though and there's been considerably less hassle in the early hours now they have a bit of dry to keep them going until official breakfast time.

Garbage
Great looking, but poor design. They need to add a lip to where the food empties into the bowl. Food gets caught in the crevices and under the bowl. Additionally, there is a huge disparity between bowl portions, when they should be equal (see image). Returning this piece of junk.

Richtige Entscheidung!
Vorab - ich habe mich viele Jahre gegen einen Futterautomat "gewehrt". Ich kannte hier nur den lauten und etwas unzuverlässigen Futterautomat mit nur einer großen Schale den meine Schwester verwendet. Meine beiden Damen jedoch sind leider nicht in der Lage sich einen Allgemeinnapf zu teilen. Ist mehr wie eine arrangierte Ehe, man respektiert und schätzt einander, aber beim Futter endet die Liebe. Habe beim abendlichen Nassfutter mittlerweile sogar schon einige Meter Distanz zwischen die beiden gebracht. Aber die bessere Hälfte war hier sehr hartnäckig und bestand darauf, dass wir es doch einfach mal versuchen. Hab also schlussendlich nachgegeben und war von Anfang an sehr skeptisch. Zum Design: sehr schick, sehr hochwertig, die beiden Schalen sind ausreichend groß und qualitativ macht es einen wunderbaren Eindruck. Die Bedienung und richtige Einstellung ist auch nicht besonders kompliziert ( man sollte sich bestenfalls die Gebrauchsanweisung nur vorab durchlesen oder sich besser noch Video 2 ansehen, ich persönlich hab es auf die "ich werds schon irgendwie schaffen" Art versucht und es trotzdem geschafft :-) ) An Tag 1 hab ich das eigentliche Ziel ein wenig verfehlt (nämlich ausschlafen), weil ich selbst ziemlich neugierig war, was sich nun zur programmierten Zeit tut und wie meine beiden Pensionsten darauf reagieren. Nachdem der erste Schreck bei ihnen nachgelassen hat, kamen die beiden schnell darauf, dass der Automat unser Freund ist und ich für seine Funktionalität auch nicht daneben stehen muss. Ich muss gestehen, dass das meine größte Angst war. Meine jüngere ist mittlerweile so klug und wartet oft geduldig auf das zweite Intervall (ihre innere Uhr ist einfach nicht auszutricksen). Was den Sound betrifft: klar, wenn Trockenfutter in die Metallschüssel geschleudert wird hört man es. Wenn man aber keinen sehr leichten Schlaf hat und auch nicht gerade neben dem Automat residiert, dann stört es wirklich nicht. Futterruf hab ich keinen aktiviert, fand die Vorstellung von meiner eigenen Stimme wie ich "FRÜÜHSTÜÜÜÜCK" träller etwas grotesk. Zusammenfassend: sowohl die beiden Damen als auch ich sind hellauf begeistert! Bedienung einfach und angenehm, Futter scheint frisch und köstlich zu bleiben, der Automatik sieht schick aus und die Königskinder fressen friedlich und glücklich nebeneinander. Bei uns reicht eine Füllung für etwas über 2 Wochen. Zum Richtwert, morgens um 6 Uhr gibt es 5 Portionen und für den Hunger zwischendurch um 9 Uhr Morgens nochmal 3. Wenn ich doch mal zwischendurch im Home Office angepöbelt werde, weil eine Hungersnot ausbricht leg ich gelegentlich noch mit 1-2 manuellen Portionen nach. Abends übernehm ich Oldschool mit Nassfutter. Möchte ja trotzdem Zuhause noch als dosenöffnende Gottheit verehrt werden :-)

Cats broke into it in less than a week.....but excellent pro-active customer service
Sadly this didn't work for me. My cats figured out how to break into the food compartment in less than a week. Although the manufacturer highlights the cat-proof twisting mechanism on the lid, the body of food compartment is only secured with 2 flimsy clips which my 2 young male cats easily prised it off releasing a week's worth of food all over the floor. Looking at other reviews this seems to be a rare problem so either my product was defective or I've got very strong cats. Also, the portion size was quite variable so may not be great for a dieting cat. * Shortly after posting this review I was contacted by PetLibro and offered a full refund. I had not asked for a refund as I couldn't prove a fault with the feeder rather than my cats(!) so I was very impressed that they reached out to me and refunded the cost of the feeder. The company seems very keen to learn from customer problems to improve their products.

The 'robot mother'!
At first my girlfriend was a bit annoyed that I bought a 'robot mother' to feed our boys. But once she realised how good this thing is, she is now extra pleased. The boys get to be fed at regular intervals, the portion control works great and, best part, since it's not us feeding them anymore they don't come crying to us for food!
