This epoxy worked great!
I picked the gray color , because the bird bath had a crack. We sealed it first and used this epoxy on the inside . Works very nice! Only two coats and good coverage. I will purchase this again. I think this birdbath will last for years now.

This stuff is great for perfect seal of pond etc…It dries like glass and it says it’s safe for fish. For some reason it was staining clothes and skin. I don’t know if I did something wrong but no leaks it’s great . Please read the directions!!!! Mix it well if you don’t it will get very hot and harden on you. The owner of this product is wonderful and calls you back and his very helpful.

Quality
I used this with fiberglass cloth to repair cracks in a concrete pond. Easy to mix. I used cheap plastic cups to mix in and a fertilizer measuring spoon to measure it out. Used a cheap throw-away brush and that was fine. Did not use alcohol and it still lasted on a very hot day, but that was in the time it took to use up a cup or so at a time. Nice smooth finish, and I don't think the cracks will be an issue anymore. As we pond owners know, any product that has "pond" in its name is expensive.

We really enjoy our pond
I have a kidney-shaped pond in our back yard that has provided me with many hours of patching and cleaning activities throughout the years. I live in Michigan, and the winters will cause hairline cracks in the concrete walls. They usually appear in the same area. I've used Quickcrete and other patching compounds, including silicone. None of them are ideal. So, every Spring I clean the pond, search for cracks to repair, fill the pond....and watch it gradually drain away over the course of 3-4 days. We really enjoy our pond, so this year I decided to leave it drained so I could power wash it, and uncover any new cracks that needed repair. I found a major one that I think was the culprit. Located at the floor and wall junction, this was a deep crack that was repaired with Quickcrete, a fast setting concrete mixture. I used a wire brush on a drill to roughen the entire pond surface. I then etched the surface of the pond with a muriatic acid solution. I found Pond Armor on Amazon, and decided to give it a try. It is rather expensive (explains the 1-star deduction). But it offered a nice assortment of colors. I chose gray. I followed the instructions to a tee, using the instructions for rough surfaces. See first photo for the before shot. I bought the 1 quart kit, which doesn't state the coverage on Amazon. Lucky for me, the coverage rate is 60 sq ft, which is the area of our pond. I decided to split the paint in 1-half portions, so I could apply 2 coats to the pond. Well, that plan did not work, because, like many others here, the paint started to really thicken after about 20 minutes. It was in the upper 70s when I applied this (in the shade), and that may have been a factor. The directions state to apply just enough for a 30 minute session. So, I used the first half of the paint, but was unable to put any paint on about half of the pond. I mixed the 2nd half and added a bit more alcohol to reduce it. Again, I only got about 20 minutes use, but I was able to finish coating the entire interior. See the 2nd photo. I waited overnight for the paint to cure. We filled the pond today, and if I find any issues I will update this review. The coating dries to a shiny, hard, yet rubbery film; I don't see how any water could seep through this coating.I plan to patch any hairline cracks that may develop over the winter months with silicone sealant.

This project has been a fail
The epoxy has shriveled up and been flaking. I think it got too cold. If you think you mixed it enough. Mix it more. I wish there were easier products for lining ponds.

Timeline of resurfacing my 16 year old pond, great product!
I built this pond in 2004. I painted it with a concrete water resistant paint not a waterproof paint. And it leaked, of course. I had a guy put a thin-set waterproof sealer on it and it worked for about 13 years before it started to peel from the top, crack and then started leaking through the brick. (He didn't sand or prepare the paint that was already there, that I know of). I knew this epoxy would be the best stuff to use but I also knew I needed to work hard in preparing the surface. As you can see, 4 pictures are just IN PREPARING THE SURFACE... chiseling, diamond grinding, grinding, filling (with waterweld), sanding the filling and acid washing. I had to remove the thin-set and the concrete paint and get it down to the cinder block concrete. It has the perfect rough surface for this epoxy to adhere. READ THE DIRECTIONS FIRST!!! I used: a Dewalt hammer chisel, a 4" diamond flat leveling grinder, and a reg 4.5" concrete disk grinder. I used a roller: 6" Best 1/4" nap white woven. DON'T use foam rollers. 2 quart throw away containers and used the 2 cup/ 1 cup recipe at a time because you need to go back and re-roll spots and this stuff dries in 20-30mins. I put 2 coats and it filled the cinder block surface and joints. It drys rubbery but in days it gets harder even under the water. (I waited the 24hr plus 6 hrs before I added water). As you can see the gray looks blue in water. And that's it. I hope this helps someone.

Love it
I used this on a plywood enclosure and have never been more satisfied. Tip: Do your home work before using it

seals well, works great
I gave this 5 stars, but I feel like the suggested coverage is on the high side, so maybe 4 1/2 stars. However if you have a pristine smooth surface that you're coating, maybe it'll cover like they say. We were coating concrete, and so it the coverage was definitely reduced. The coating looks good however, and brushed on pretty good. We did 2 coats. Like many other reviews state - mix only what you can apply in 15 minutes, and not a drop more. I've never seen anything harden so fast... One sec it was like latex paint, then within 15 seconds it was like tar on the brush, and about 30 seconds later my brush was permanently glued to my paint tray. Would I recommend? Absolutely, just order about 30% more than you think you need. And work fast. No, work really fast. Looks great, and sealed our leak. Thank you
