I was expecting removal stress yet it required less than 90 seconds total

Really? Did others receive the same product that I did? I read complaints galore and there are even videos demonstrating the process with a vise clamp. Meanwhile I pulled in both directions while twisting and all of them separated within 15 seconds or less. It reached the point I was actually hoping for one to be stuck, and present a challenge. Nope. Not close. Granted, I'm 6-3 and 200 but not exactly as young or as strong as I used to be. As we used to summarize after an easy sports wager in Las Vegas...that was cupcakes.

They are a bitch to get off the holder had to use a Chisel To work them off and toss the holder away.

Work great

Has rubber inside to grip plug upon removing , and gripping for installation. Can also use fingers to twist socket if necessary. I would buy again.

Good for the price

These are good quality for the DIY'ers. For less than $3 each, you can't really complain. Sure, there's always an issue with every product but the good outweighs the bad on this one. Hence, the 4 stars rating. For those complaining about the package, yes, it could have been simpler so taking the socket from the package would be easier. My advice: 1. Get a screwdriver, flat head or not, that is small enough to slip into the socket and a hammer. 2. Hold the socket upside down, insert the screwdriver into the socket. 3. Hit 1-2 time, depending on how hard you hit, on the handle of the screwdriver and package should fall out. The package and rest of the sockets will fall so make sure you work over a table or have something soft to catch the falling package and sockets. Took me 2 seconds to get socket away from package. Do the same for all sockets. Done. For the rubber insert in the socket, yes, it does grab the spark plug a little tight. My advice: 1. If your finger is small enough, take a little die-electric and place it on the hole of the rubber insert. 2. If finger cannot fit into the socket, place the die-electric on the plastic part(near the thread) of the spark plug 3. Insert the spark plug a few times into the socket and you should feel it loosen. 4. Wipe away excess die-electric from spark plug before installing. For the socket not sticking to the extension when installing, here's my advice: 1. Take the extension and place it into the socket. Take masking tape and wrap it once or twice on the socket and extend the masking tape to the extension. Now, The two pieces won't come apart when trying to pull the socket and extension from the engine. I wiggle the extension and socket a little as I pull up on it. Hope this helps those that are looking for a little help on this product. Thanks...

Insert Not Secure

I bought these specifically because the rubber inserts on my old sockets were deteriorated, and they basically fall out. Was kind of bummed that the inserts on these are not secured in any way, just jammed inside. They can come off and get stuck on the plug, which is bad when you have a deep spark plug well. This is simply due to poor engineering; the manufacturer could have easily machined a small lip inside the socket that would retain the rubber boot.

Trick on getting them off the holder

Good spark plug socket set, made in Taiwan. The anti theft holder they come with is indeed horrible and won't allow you to take the sockets off by hand. The trick is to stick a medium Phillips screwdriver in the socket from the open end, touch the plastic holder end with the tip of screwdriver (inside the socket) and hit the screwdriver on a hard surface or wood a few times. The sockets will then release in just a few seconds! ;) I tried a 14mm and a 5/8 spark plugs in those sockets and everything seems good. The plugs hold in the socket, but the tension still allows them to release without issue (like pulling out the plug holder from inside the socket). With these non-magnetic types of spark plug sockets, I tend to put a thin film of dielectric grease on plugs' porcelain and tip when installing, just to make sure the rubber boots don't come out. Anyway, for this price, it's a great buy. It pretty much has all the sizes you will need to remove and install spark plugs on big & small engines.

Casi perfectos

5 dados para bujías en menos de 180 pesos, es buen precio, considerando que te pueden vender 1 dado hasta en 80 pesos. He usado el dado de 3/4 varias veces y sin problema, hasta que usé por segunda vez el dado de 14 mm se presentó el problema de la goma que retiene las bujías, al retirar el dado, la goma se quedaba pegada a la bujía; por esto último es que le doy 4 estrellas, casi perfectos los dados. Aún así, los recomendaría ya que tienen buen acabado, las extensiones y matracas se ajustan bien, las bujías se retienen bien a los dados, tan bien, que puede quedar pegada la goma ja, ja, claro, asunto que se resuelve haciendo más grande la goma, para que retenga con menos fuerza a la bujía. Como comentario, antes de estos dados había comprado un dado Stanley de 3/4 en 70 pesos, y al primer uso, la goma ya se había salido.

Muy buen Juego de Dados.

Un gran juego de Dados para bujía que no puede faltar en tu caja de herramienta. de buena calidad y excelente acabado, muchos piensan que las bujías son de un tamaño estándar, pero no es así, con estos dados cubres todas las medidas existentes ademas que el reten interno que traen ayuda a sostener la bujía en el dado y que no se caiga.

All the plug sockets you'll need

Like other reviewers said, TERRIBLE packaging. But they work pretty well after releasing them from the package from hell. I didn't like the plastic insert on the one socket I used ... it was too tight on spark plug. I increased the hole with a drill bit a little and it worked fine .... who knows how long that will last, may be too loose in a few years. I have an old socket with thick foam rubber insert and it still works perfectly ... wrong size though.

Buen producto!

Es un set que debes tener si eres aficionado de la mecánica o simplemente te gusta cambiarle las bujías a tu auto. En lo personal creo que el diseño que tienen los dados para retener la bujía podría mejorar, pero este problema lo tienen todas las marcas; es decir, con el uso frecuente los hules al interior del dado no aguantan. Creo que el producto esta a buen precio, lo recomiendo y lo volvería a comprar!
