Didn't help my knee pain
I ordered this brace because I developed knee pain (on the inside and near the patella) any time I would run (especially as I pushed off with that leg & my knee bent) as I was training for my second and third marathons. Ultimately, I was diagnosed with patellofemoral syndrome (aka “runner’s knee”) and I bought this brace hoping it would help, hoping to get me through my races. Unfortunately it did not help and I ended up missing both marathons. Overall the quality and fit of the product were fine (I ordered a small as I am thin, which was snug but comfortable), but I rated it a 1 because it did not help reduce my knee pain in any way. So, if you are having similar knee pain – or just knee pain in general – and are looking to purchase this product, here is my advice: 1. Try it. Just because the brace didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. Everybody’s different. This is a relatively inexpensive product and a cheap way to get some possible relief. You may find that it helps considerably, and I truly hope it does. 2. If this fails to provide relief, I highly encourage you to engage in that nasty four letter word that every runner hates to hear – REST. Your body is telling you that something is wrong and it’s trying to tell you to take a chill pill for a moment. By continuing to run, you are only making the damage worse and setting yourself up for an even longer recovery period. I took 6 weeks off from running (did other stuff in the mean time; elliptical, strengthening, etc.) and am doing better. Still not 100%, but better. Sure, I lost a bit of speed and endurance in that time, but I will work to get it back. I ran with pain for 6-7 weeks before I came to that conclusion (I’m stubborn, like most runners) and wish I would have stopped sooner. 3. Visit a sports orthopedist or physical therapist, especially if your pain persists. In most (not all) cases, there is something structurally or functionally wrong with your body, which may be the source or primary cause of your symptoms. A doctor and/or a PT can help figure out what’s wrong and give you advice (training tips, exercises, orthoses, etc.) or even manual techniques (if necessary) to correct any structural and/or muscular imbalances. All in all, I hope this brace helps. It not, I hope the other advice does and I wish you a speedy (but smart) recovery.

Definitely Needed the Support
I was training for a half marathon and needed support after I injured me knee by having my leg hyper-extend outward (meniscus injury I believe). I couldn't run for weeks and finally succumbed to the notion that I needed a brace if I wanted to run in my race. Luckily, someone else had written a review with her same measurements as I, so I bought what she bought... 5'7", 135lbs, bought a small. Tight squeeze, but comfortable. At first I didn't believe that this brace could actually give me support for running, but it magically did. I was able to run for miles and not feel pain, and I performed my half marathon easily. The only thing I did not like about the construction of this brace was the crease line on the back of the knee...my knee bends and then inevitably rubs against this crease creating some discomfort, but nothing like feeling the pain in my knee. Definitely small and not bulky, which was another main reason I bought this brace. It absorbs a lot of your sweat, so after a 13 mile run it is indeed wet. Right after I am done running and walking to cool down, I flip the brace down to my ankle and eventually take it off. WORTH IT!

I needed a brace before my knee transplant surgery. This one was incorrect. Needed more stability w a steel side bar. This is good for basic needs

Great Product but Poor Quality
Provides optimal knee stability. I use it 3-4x per day at Cross Fit, which requires flexibility, range of motion, weight, and impact on the knees. You can really tell the difference using/not using this support. The instructions indicate rinsing with warm water to remove salts accumulated from perspiration. It dries quickly. I had to give it 3 stars because the stitching the held the support below the kneecap ripped. I had to purchase a replacement. At 5'6" the small fit perfectly.

Well made and perfectly sized neoprene knee support
My old neoprene knee brace has had enough use and washings so it isn't quite the support I used to have. This short sleeve knee support is well-constructed and the rubber bumper under the patella seems to stabilize the patella permitting lots of movement with minimum stress on the knee. It does have some lining but it's not thick. There are no metal/plastic braces to worry about and I'm not sure they do that much good anyway. While I'm not saying I can do things now that I couldn't do, I feel more secure and can still play 2 hrs of doubles tennis so I'm pleased. This is a much better value than most of the other knee sleeve supports I have investigated. Fast & free shipping via Amazon since I combined products with free shipping. I'll certainly buy another one when the time comes.

Sizes are MUCH SMALLER than indicated.
A pair of these supports were ordered by me for a friend's mother. The leg measured 20" above the knee. So we bought a pair of Large. They did not fit and could not be returned. So we ordered a pair of XL and that do not fit either and cannot be returned. I gotta tell you that the size description is NOT accurate. The measurements do not coincide with the indicated sizes. So now my friend is out $60+ and has two products that cannot be used. I would not recommend that these supports be purchased based on the listed sizes. The XL will probably fit someone with 17", or smaller legs. I would like a refund based on INACCURATE SIZE CHART listings for this product. I will return both pairs. They were never worn since they would not fit on the legs.

Bunches up behind knee
The sleeve fits which is great. I wore it one day and it bunches up really bad behind the knee which becomes really uncomfortable. That is also where the seams are at. It's made of durable Neoprene. I may just try cutting out a patch behind the knee to see if that helps with the bunching. Otherwise it's a really nice support sleeve.

Not for me.
This is a pretty thick quality brace, however, the issue for me was that it kept sliding and rolling. I have very muscular thighs, so I think that might've been part of the issue.
