Pretty, but tricky to hang

Very pretty lights. I have 4 of them in my foyer/hallway. They are tricky to put together and get mounted but I was still (carefully) able to hang them all myself. First I tried mounting the base and then adding piece by piece until both shades and adjoining pieces were in place. Quite a task! The next one I put all of the pieces/shades together and then screwed the whole unit into the base. Also not as easy as you might think. It was also difficult to get both shades to hang evenly. (See last photo) After one was hung for a short while, I heard a crack! Looked up to see one of the inner white shades had spontaneously split! I had already thrown away all packaging so instead of contacting amazon I contacted Progress Lighting instead. They quickly and graciously sent out a replacement shade. Wish they had a brushed metal option instead of chrome.

I really love this light

I really love this light. My entryway isn't vaulted so I needed a flush mount and it's hard to find any with a touch of glam. Yes, it is open at the top and will require cleaning occasionally. To me it's worth it and I get tons of compliments on it!

Open on the top!

Love the way this looks, but didn't realize it was open on the top. Leads to lots of bugs and dust inside. Disappointed about that portion.
