Cuts through (almost) anything

I'm an amateur blacksmith, I've gone through dozens and dozens of hardware/big box store bits that supposedly work on metal, with very mixed results, and even the best of the lot don't last very long. These were recommended to me by a guy who works in a metal shop, and this set was an "entry level" set that fit my budget. Gotta say - REALLY impressed. I've been in my shop using another manufacturer's bit and getting NOWHERE, the switched to these and it cuts like butter. I will say I've had one bit go bad - pulled it out to try to cut into a hole where a cheaper drill bit had snapped off - it tried, but it destroyed this one bit. My fault, not the manufacturer's - asking a drill bit to drill through another drill bit is a lot to ask.

Quit wasting time and money, buy decent drill bits like these!

The difference between "good" drill bits like these and "cheap" drill bits is astounding! It took me 20 minutes to drill through a piece of steel, and 3 of my old bits were destroyed in the process. I got mad and bought these. One bit, 45 seconds (at low rpm mind you) and I was through. I learned what every machinist probably already knows, you get what you pay for! Quit wasting time and money, buy decent drill bits!

Perfect set for drilling out broken bolts

I'm a mechanic and I bought this set specifically for drilling out broken bolts. These things rock! They drill straight into grade 8 bolts like butter. I have now used this bit set to drill out at least four different bolts, and they show no sign of getting dull. Money well spent.

Nice to have a sharp drill bit when you need it!

These bits seem to be well made for the money spent ! Split point and channeled flutes for waist removal. I have not spent a lot of time drilling with them yet! I purchased them to have on hand to drill out broken stainless bolts in Turbo flanges on Mercedes Diesels. Many reviews said they were great for stainless. I will post again when they are tested to the maximum.

Sharp bits

Bits are sharp, and seem to handle work hardened material well. The bits still dull on old exhaust studs, but last longer than others. Nice set.

bought these on the fact they are made in usa and use the right materials and so far havent had to sharpen any of them and non of them have snapped and at the price they are cheap.So dont muck about with diy superstore special big pack titaium coated rubbish ,buy these and save yourself time grief and above all money

Worth every penny!

I love these bits! They simply outperform any of the bits you'll find at the big box stores. I use these daily in steel and wood with the best drills made and they haven't let me down yet. Best buy this year.

Quality makes a difference.

Makes work easier, quicker and more accurate with quality tools. These and cutting fluid, especially if you plan to use hand drill on metal.
