It cut square and clean

Does what it's supposed to do

Pricing - I definitely wouldn't say this is worth anywhere near $40. It's lightweight, cheap & alternatives can be found for as little as $8. 2/5 Packaging - Comes in standard plastic packaging 4/5 Design - It's unfortunate I had to get this after trying to use normal pipe cutters only to find out that normal pipe cutters cause the PEX to condense upon itself which narrows the opening & leads to the sharkbite fittings not being able to fit. The pro pex cutter features a steel frame with rubber grip handles. The Sharkbite logo is etched into the blade (which appears to be swappable.) There is also a switch for locking the tool in place for storage. It cuts through pex like butter. The cut is clean with no abrasive marks which is much better than the normal pipe cutters. I was able to fix the messed up pipe & install Sharkbite fittings without issue. 5/5 Overall it gets the job done, but the price should reflect what it's worth. It cuts great & is a solid tool although it seems like you're paying for the name. 3.5 out of 5 stars

It’s ok

It cuts straighter than the cheap cutters and handles are solid, but there’s a bit of play in the from side to side that noticeably moves the blade. They are also much lighter than I expected. I find myself wondering about the Milwaukee version.

PEX pipe cutter

Its a bit hard to write a review about a pipe cutter but the tool arrived without any damage and it perform exactly as I would expect. I would buy it again if the need arose. Great tool.

Fine cutting but locking feature of poor quality

These are great cutters for pex tubing. One flaw is that the "sliding lock" on side of them is of poor quality. Mine came apart after only a few uses. I had to improvise a way to hold the cutters in the locked position.
