CUTE INDOOR POTS

The media could not be loaded. The video I uploaded is to show the colors of the red/orange/yellow set and blue set of these pots. When I bought these, a few months ago, the pictures where inaccurate according to reviews and appear to still be for the red/orange/yellow but the blue set is pretty accurate. I took a chance and ordered the red and blue sets and like them both. The red is more red than the picture shows but not bright red, orange is a nice orange color and reminds me of a classic pumpkin or orange fruit and yellow is like a warm mustard color, kind of muted, not a bright in your face yellow. I think the darkest blue color is a bit darker than the picture shows - the picture reminds me of when you use a flash and it shows the color but really brightens it, but it is not too dark you don't see the color or isn't cheerful bright, especially since you have the lighter colors next to it that are the same tone. Both sets have drainage holes in each pot, but I made mine larger because they where only about 3/16'' or so and didn't seem to drain well. Drilling the holes larger is really easy. Just get your drill and 1/4'' or whatever size bit you want, turn the pot over on flat surface that you will not hurt and drill from the bottom side inward; this way you don't have the sharp metal edge on the bottom of the pot since you will be pushing the drill inward. The tray is the same color as the lightest pot and has 4 rubber pads on the bottom to keep it from sliding around and from scratching your surfaces. Tray measures 11'' by 2 & 15/16'' on the bottom and slightly tapers outward to the top edge which measures 11 & 11/16'' by 3.5'' Pot at bottom is 2.75'' square and 4'' square on top. About 4'' tall. Both sets are nice sizes for small indoor plants (I am doing small succulents/cactus). I think they are really cheerful and love the bright happy colors it brings into my kitchen. I definitely recommend these.

Great color scheme.

I'll admit, I bought these because of the color scheme. It matches my kitchen colors perfectly. They are great size for small herb plants, cacti, or succulents. They have held up after multiple repottings. And the tray is a nice touch. If you need larger herb plants these might be too small but they work for me. And the color scheme was perfect!!!

Perfect for your windowsill!!

Love these! They are the perfect size as to what I was looking for. And fit perfectly on the windowsill. I do have to move them away if I need to open or close the window but they fit nicely either way. We drilled bigger holes through the bottom so it would be easier for water to drain through. One of my pictures shows how big the hole was originally compared to the one we drilled. The whole set it very light weight! Even filled with soil they are very easy to move if needed. The last picture posted, is to show how much space they take up on the windowsill...maybe about only half of the sill. The only issue I found when I received them was that at the seam of one of the canisters it was not sealed completely. As you can see in two of the pictures. However, it wasn't an issue with planting or watering. And the other two were perfectly fine! Since there are seams along the two edges of the planters, you can easily place them so they are hidden when placed side by side. The color: Like other reviews state, do not look exactly like what is pictured on amazon. It is a bright red, orange, and yellow color. I absolutely love the colors, they're so bright and look nicely along the green herbs. If your looking for a herb planter to put in your small apartment like ours and the only extra space you have for a planter is on a windowsill, I would recommend to get these!

Beautiful pot set with minor issues

Overall this pot set works well. I love the colors, and the metal seems sturdy. However, my set arrived with some of the paint chipping off in a few areas. Primarily around the rim where the metal is connected together. It is not terrible, just annoying. I read in another review that these pots do not have drainage holes on the bottom - this is incorrect. Each pot has a small drainage hole. I decided to add a few more to ensure my plants do not get waterlogged - this was easy enough with a hammer and nail. If you decide to do this as well, make sure you put a soft cloth or something under the thing when you are hammering the nail in the bottom to make sure you don't mess up the paint. Bottom line: even with the chipped paint I decided to keep these. I think they are certainly worth it for the price.

Looks great, hope they last!

This set looks great on my windowsill. I planted parsley, basil, and dill and the herbs are growing with plenty of room. I do have concerns about the dill because the pots are so small, but that may be my own fault. The pots and tray are made of the same metal (I think) and although the pots seem strong enough, the tray is a bit flimsy. If it just sits there you should be fine, but if (like me) you move it to maximize the sun, I have a feeling the tray might not last.

Great and look snazzy - wish they were a little less pricey.

Very cute and attractive. A bit thin and lightweight for the money to be honest- but the hardest look great. Drainage hole and tray are key! I used them on some shelves for pothos plants / vine as part of a used pallet assemblage.

Disappointing

I ordered these planters in orange and green. They are made by same company and packaged the same. The orange ones have drainage holes as described. The green ones were more expensive and do not have a drainage hole. I see now that the one of the question and answers addressed this. Unfortunately I had looked at the orange description only. Be aware of the difference. Also the orange ones are a range of colors and quite pretty. The green ones are so close in color that you don't see any difference. Overall disappointing purchase.

Love It

I love this little arrangement of herbs.It fits perfectly on my windowsill.I didn't think the seeds were going to sprout cause it took a while but they have done well.Its perfect for providing those fresh herbs so often used in cooking.
