Wranglers will need an extender

Bought this for my new Sahara. Be aware, unless you have a made for a Jeep Wrangler bike rack that has a longer than usual connection stem, you WILL NEED A HITCH EXTENDER if you have the spare tire on the back. Sorry for the all caps, just want to save you time. My Thule would not fit with the normal sized spare tire on (about 1.5 inches too short). When you use an extender, you have to take half off of the tongue capacity--so drops from 300 pounds to 150 total weight. Because we have a 4 bike rack, an extender won't work. Basically, had to buy a new bike rack. That's not the fault of this hitch, it just is the way it is with all hitches like this. This was super easy to install and as others have said, takes about 25 minutes.

Easy Install, Fits Great

Took me 20 mins to put this on. Everything lined up and fit perfectly. I didn’t get wiring harness as I’m not planning to tow anything but will use it for a bike rack and basket for trips. The hitch is going to take some abuse, so not something I’d be concerned with blemishes on, but out of the box, the paint and holes were very nicely done and it looks great.

Fits 2021 jl Jeep diesel with no problem.

Had all hardware needed for installation. Used it on my jl Jeep diesel . Just had to remove 2 bolts holding the skit plate coverings the def tank .

Well built. Solid construction.

Overall quality of the product is very good. Very nice coating and the welds are neatly formed. The photos in the instruction manual are rather poor and although the installation process is quite easy I did spend some time trying to remove the wrong nuts on my vehicle because of ambiguity in the photos in the instruction manual. This is a very unobtrusive, basic design, bolt-on part that makes no difference in not having that OEM look.

Nice receiver, quick install

The instruction are lacking, but I've installed enough Rugged Ridge products on my TJ that I've come to expect this. You can usually find a YouTube video showing the install for one of their products. Certainly more cost-effective than the Mopar part for the JL and is solid. It took me 30 mins to install, but that was because I have the Sahara and had to remove two screws and push the plastic fascia around to get the bolts. Once the fascia was loosened, the new hitch went right in.

Great hitch

It was super easy to install, was made well, the welds were excellent (im a welder and run a welding shop) the powder coating is great, it 4 prong bracket works ok, overall and for the price, 100% perfect

Easy to install and a great tow point when off roading

Installation was straight forward and went quickly. Check out youtube for videos. I've used this as a tow point to tug out stuck Jeeps on the trail with no issue using a 2" clevis mount.

Easy to install, well built

First, I was surprised how heavy it was. I am aware it has to be strong to tow thousands of pounds, but it looks like it would survive the apocalypse. Install is straight forward on the JL. The muffler makes it a tight fit, but easily doable for anyone with even basic handyperson skills. A rachet and wrench are all you need.
