door lock

It was easy o install on most doors. For some reason it did not work on my door. It could have been the door. .

Nice but tricky

I bought an Amazon Basics handleset for $50 as a temporary fix to my broken front door handle. It wasn't bad but some reviews mentioned people getting locked out of their house. 2 months later and I replaced it with this. Definitely feels better quality, but was a little tricky installing. Handle latch was sticking so door wouldn't remain closed. WD40 fixed. Screws were a little funky on the handle. WD40 fixed. Hopefully they didn't strip installing, but they're in now and I have no plans on backing it out. It should be there until the next owner changes it.

Love the look of this door hardware set

I just had new front doors installed and decided to put new hardware on. I had this same set on my old doors and was happy enough with it that I bought it again.

Nice lock, but tight tolerances make installing a nightmare

The bottom of the knob attaches via a bolt that runs through your door. But like some other Schlage locks, the tolerances are so tight that the bolt actually got stuck halfway in, leaving the knob loose and the bolt protruding an inch out from the door. No matter whether turning CW or CCW, the bolt turned but did not go in, which made it impossible to back out without excessive force. I was able to remove it, but I will need to find some kind of way to install it properly. I would recommend applying WD40 beforehand. And if you do feel the bolt sticking, do NOT try to force it or risk stripping out the screw.

Absolutely fabulous lock set

Installed on a newly stained door. Easy to install. very solid and wonderfully working lock. Came with all materials needed to get the job done. Schlage has always been synonymous with quality and this lock set holds true to that designation.

Great Value, Good Lock

I was looking for this particular handset for the new door we installed, replacing the sliding glass door that took up space we were looking to add to our kitchen cabinet space. Installation was simple since the new door came pre-drilled for the handset and deadbolt.

Nice when new but finish doesn't last and they won't replace it

Installed this less than a year ago. The set looks nice and functions well however recently I sprayed the handle with Lysol which discoloured the finish. Schlage will not cover this so beware of what product you use to clean this door handle in these times.

Obviously previously enjoyed

I like the look and it seems like a solid product, however, I am returning because it has obviously been returned by another customer. The box has been opened (damaged) and the keys are missing making it totally worthless. I'm having them send me a new one and will update when it arrives. Hopefully this is not a recurring problem. For the price I should be getting a new product, not open box.
