Nice cordless Dremel

I tried to find this unit at 2 local big box stores , but they did not have this model in stock and only had a less powerful model. It arrived next day and I put it to use filing down my Dobermans nails. Worked perfect. I am confident that I will use this tool often for many other projects as well.

Dremel 8240

It's pretty good might be expensive for some people but it's worth the buy. The battery is good but remember if you set it to highest power when using this Dremel it can withdraw the battery juice Significantlying. The main purpose why I bought it was to try to take put a stript Ellen bolt from the rear motor hub. I used the metal cutter rotary bit to cut a line on the Ellen bolt so then I could use a flat head screw driver to unthread it out.

Great tool

You know how your wife said she saw a commercial for a rotary tool to help with pet nails and you know it will not work based on the specs. Well that was me. Yes she purchased the pet friendly tool and I later purchased the real tool. This works wonderful and has so much more power than those seen on tv rotary tool. Now that she knows I was right, I’ve been on the couch for a few days. Well, at least the dog is happier.

Beastly little machine

I bought this for my wife after I killed her craft Dremel 800 by using it on materials it wasn't meant for (like sheet metal). So far, this one has handled everything we've thrown at it. I even used it with a metal cutting bit to bore holes in an 12 gauge steel welding strap that I wanted to use to mount a camera, and it did this with no issue. The only downside is that it is probably twice the size and thickness of the old Dremel 800, so it is a bit harder to use for fine carving work.

Quality !!!!!!!!!!!

2 year warranty for defective product and if it gets lost or stolen. Been a while since I seen someone stand behind their product like this. I have missed this kind of manufacturer trust in their product. I remember a commercial once where an actual worker was saying the Pride goes in Before the name goes on. That Company did produce a very good product, then they bailed on move out of the country where they had become a big success. Then their products just became a big Joke.
