A quiet filter!

Whisper quiet! I have a huge tank and I have under-gravel and filters on the back of my tank. Between the two it keeps the 150 gallon tank crystal clear. The best part is they can be taken out and cleaned then left in the sun to bake and put right back into the filter!

Buyer Beware

I dislike the fact that this item is being sold at a cost of $9.54 that led me to believe that there were several of them in the kit or pack. I felt really duped when it arrived and saw that only one single Bio Foam Grid was supplied.

It's nice to be able to purchase these separately without buying a complete back filter. They work very well used in conjunction with charcoal filled filters. I've noticed that my freshwater tank looks much clearer since I've started using them. They are awesome in my marine tank, as well.

exact replacement

My old one wore out, so I searched for a new one. Yes it's a bit pricey but it's exact. The picture looks like you get 2, but you only get 1. They do not sell just the foam, wish they did. This way I just pull the dirty one out and put in the cleaned one without turning off the pump.

Would be perfect if wasn't broken..

Receive the item but it was broken in 3 places. Still works when foam inside and placed inside of Filter. Helps to hold broken parts in place when in filter. Use superglue on the 3 little pieces and so far there holding.

The "right" filter

Some of the elements I've used in the past were too thin. This one is thick and dense enough to give good filtration.
