Must Have!
I have tried multiple securement devices for my 14mth old and these BY FAR are the best around!! They are so easy to use and the button completely distracted her from learning how to open it! They have kept her from getting into every cupboard and drawer within her short reach and been a life saver!!! I have tried other brands and would never ever choose to go any other route now!

The Better Lock System
This lock is the only one that falls away when unlocked. It is easy to install and prevents accidental opening for children and adults. Our exterior upright freezer tends to open or remain open, resulting in a total content loss. This system has prevented this from ever happening again. I gifted family members and friends this Safety 1st OutSmart Multi-Use Lock because I want them to get the right lock system.

Love these especially with a special needs child!
I had previously purchased these to put on my refrigerator to keep my child from pulling all the food out of it. He then discovered that my deep freezer was a fun new toy he wanted to climb into. So I ordered more for the lid of the deep freezer. These work great! The fake button keeps him occupied while trying to figure out why he can't get it open himself. The fake button also worked well on keeping the husband and the oldest out of the fridge lol. I had to show them how it worked. 10/10 would recommend!

These are awesome!
I bought these as a replacement for the same model, which I purchased four years ago. The latch, which I used on my refrigerator door, finally gave out. Considering that out refrigerator gets opened and closed at least ten times per day, that's about 15,000 latchings and unlatchings before it finally broke. This works best when the two pieces are mounted "around a corner from each other". I tried putting one on my pantry door, with one end attached to the door and the other end attached across the trim, on the wall. That didn't hold well at all. Hints - 1. The end that's attached to the strap is on a swivel, and will drop down and away from the door when unlatched. This is a great feature. Make sure you have room for it to fall and dangle freely. 2. The adhesive is very strong. Make sure you have it lined up where you want it before sticking it on. You won't get a second chance.

It literally keeps our 17 months little man safe from finding treasure adventure. Oh!! Caution!!!!!! Never ask husband to remove it. I’m attaching a picture of my husband’s beautiful workmanship. Use hair dryer for 30 seconds to melt the tape and patiently remove it with a knife with wife.

Aging refrigerator/freezer cure
Ok, so not needed for child proofing but for an upper freezer door that always opens a crack when the fridge is closed. This caused this freeze/thaw situation that i wasnt sure was the machine or the door. It was the door and this product, while a bit finicky to open has been working very well for at least a month. I had wanted a velcro type earthquake strap thinking it would be easier to open but this is doing the job nicely

If you get a defective one, they won’t replace
3 out of 4 worked. 1 was defective and didn’t stick. I contacted amazon as I would’ve liked a replacement for the defective one. But since the company has a limit on how many you can buy, I was told I can’t get a replacement one. I was more than willing to mail the defective one back! This is frustrating! I ordered 4, because I need four. So now I have to scour store to store in my city or look online elsewhere for another one. These are easy to instal, and the decoy button really works for kids. My 2 year old tried really hard to get the fridge door open and couldn’t. So these are strong and stay put. Just disappointed that I received defective one and can’t even have it replaced. It’s through no fault of my own so doesn’t seem fair. :/ I understand the company has a limit on how many you can buy but an exception should perhaps be made if someone received a defective one. Because they can’t use it and and If you ordered 4, you should be able to use all 4. Very inconvenient. I deducted one star from adhesion as one didn’t stick. Therefore defective. And it was used on the same surface as two of the other ones.

Saved a lot of food from getting spoiled!
Our fridge - A poorly designed GE - have a design flaw, if you close the top door (Fridge portion) with a little bit of force, it create enough vibration and air pressure to push the bottom door (freezer) open, leaving a gap that won't close itself up. This thing saved a lot of meat from spoiling and ice cream from melting. Like all things held together with double sided tape, you NEED to make sure the surface is clean of oil or any dust. We used rubbing alcohol to wipe down the surface before sticking the bases to the fridge.

Good product but were dirty out of the box!
I bought six of these and have been using them as I need. When I installed the first two, I noticed one of them had some weird stains on it. I figured maybe my hands were dirty when I installed it or something. Now a few months later I opened another one and this one also had the stains. I opened the rest of them and they all had these weird reddish brown stains on them. Really not sure what it is but it does gross me out and ruin the look of them which is unfortunate given their individual price. Other than this issue, they’re effective and easy to install.

Good for what it is multi-purpose use
I honestly didn't buy this product to use it as a child lock what I actually bought this for is because my fridge kept opening every time I would close the bottom fridge door the freezer would open or vice versa the freezer would open the fridge door so I use it to not allow each of those doors to open easy to install but once you install it I don't recommend trying to move it so be sure where you want to put it because you can't take it off afterwards it's very hard to take off sorry it can come off as it's hard to take off
