Great arch support
Lightweight secure, good ankle protection and so far, waterproof. Flexible roomy in the toe box, not insecure. Better on the trails, than on the road. At least foe my feet and tread.

Loving them...
The only thing I didn't like is that I ordered half size big. I always wear this kind of footwear a half size less, still, I like the material. It didn't bother me not ordering my real size, thinking that I might wear them during winter with thicker socks. The color conceals the dirt color, but I feel it is necessary to clean them after you use them. They are waterproof and never felt in danger of slippery trails, I got what I expected.

Good hiking boots
I like these hiking boots a lot. They are not terribly heavy. The only drawback I have found with them is that since there is not a second hook higher up on the boot, it tends to be too loose around the ankle. I found a video on how to make boots tighter around the ankle. I followed what they said & it made them more snug around my ankles. I wear an 8 and got an 8 and they are the perfect size for me. I definitely would not say go a half size up. There is plenty of room in the toe area, which is good. I would highly recommend these boots.

Extremely comfortable
No break- in needed. Right out of the box to a day-long rugged terrain hike. No blisters, not even a sore spot! Good tread- did well on slippery steep incline. The only issue- even a tight double knot came apart several times! Walked through a lot of poison ivy, so re-doing the laces required a lot of precautions. Would recommend these to anyone.

Good support. Sturdy boot.
I haven't tested the waterproof feature, but these boots were great right out of the box! Only issue so far is the gap between the last "lace" hole and the ankle "hooks" to secure your laces. The distance causes the boot tongue to shift left or right, especially when climbing. I also sized up a half, since I wear orthotics and thicker socks.

These hiking boots are extremely light weight and comfortable while also giving appropriate ankle support.

Super comfortable!
Walked a 2 mile trail so far, but as always Salomon does not disappoint. I wear size 8, and the 8 is perfect...love the aubergine color. Waterproof and feather light. Says made in India...Namaste and yay!
