Looks beautiful on a black door.

I really like this handle set. We recently spruced up our front porch and two of the improvements/changes we made were painting the door and replacing the hardware. I love this choice. It's heavy duty, simple and dressy against the black. The only thing I don't like is the inside lock and that's minor. When locked the latch is at an angle rather than straight across making it look like the door is partially secured even though the lock is fully engaged. Like I said ... minor. Would recommend if you're looking for an affordable and understated door handle.

Absolutely perfect!

Absolutely perfect. I bought a right side and a left side to replace original old worn handles from 1989 on a double front door. I was worried it might be a pain with everything not lining up and having to do a bunch of cutting, fitting, etc. Not so. The only issue was that the bottom hole in the door for the bottom of the handle to mount to was a little higher than the one on the new latch. Or so I thought. This new handle had a sliding bolt adapter which lets you move it up or down to accommodate a hole that might be a little off such as mine. Perfect idea and kudos to the development team on this idea. Both handles went in perfectly in no time at all. Very sturdily built too. Very happy with my purchase, thank you!

Bought repackaged and deadbolt mechanism failed on day 2

Ended up having to spend $50 for a new deadbolt after only using for 2 days!

Time is Money

I’ll preface this review by saying this was the first time I’ve ever installed an exterior lock set. It took me almost three hours. It wasn’t until after searching YouTube that I figured out what I was doing wrong. AND, the directions that came with the set didn’t really help explain. If the lock set doesn’t fit properly, you snap off the outer side and replace it with a collar that came with it. So, yes, I would buy this again - I LOVE it. But, I’d pay someone to install - time is money, right?

Great so far

We had a handyman install this handle. He was a little peeved that there was no template to install the little black screw cover (below the interior handle) but didn’t say anything else about the installation. It looks great and we love it so far. It was only installed yesterday though so hopefully this review will remain the same in a few months.

Perfect Hardware for my new Front Entryway

I just replaced my front entryway doors with white fiberglass 3/4 glass doors and wanted black matte hardware that was well made and simple yet classic. I had Baldwin for a few years but found the finish and hardware didn’t hold up. I researched the highly recommended top ten brands and was pleasantly surprised that Baldwin seemed to have improved recently yet i couldn’t find the look and finish I wanted. I settled on the Schlage and couldn’t be happier. Well made, classic yet simple which works for a look that isn’t exactly traditional and modern enough, with the exact matte black finish I wanted. I was concerned a matte black finish may show fingerprints yet surprisingly it doesn’t. It cleans well with a soft clothe - don’t use cleaning agents to ensure the finish lasts. Highly recommend.

Solid, high quality, smooth functioning

This is a solid-feeling lock set with a beautiful, shiny chrome finish. The deadbolt turn is very smooth, and the latch bolt catches the strike plate perfectly every time. Very nice set.

Not standard screw holes

We were under the impression that all door handles have a universal standard holes for the mounting of the handle. It did not. Very disappointing
