Good For The Money
If you live in an upper class neighborhood, the kind of thief that would be casing your home is a pro. He's going to know when you're gone for an extended period, then break into your home after avoiding your security system. Once inside, he is likely to find your safe, and if it's not an expensive 700lb gun safe with an sophisticated locking system, your valuables will be gone. But let's be honest, most regular folk won't invest in such a safe, because they either don't have the money, or the valuables they want to secure would not justify the cost. While this safe would not be the best investment to deter a professional burglar in a expensive neighborhood, it will do just fine in most middle class neighborhoods, where less sophisticated, garden variety thieves do their dirty work during the day, and want to get in and out of a home within 10 minutes. Very few can crack a safe combo, and this safe has a secondary key lock if they do. Most won't be carrying the tools to break into it either, and will not want to spend the time trying to saw through any part of the safe, which will also attract unwanted attention. What a thief might try to do is carry the safe out of the home. One would think that would be taking quite a chance with the possibility of neighbors watching, but if you have a dolly in your garage and a blanket, some thieves might take that chance. Keep in mind, if a thief only plans to be in your home for a few minutes, and is feeling bold, he might just park in your driveway. A strong guy could easily pick up this 100lb safe, walk out of your home and throw it in his back seat. Of course, you could bolt the safe to the floor and into the cement slab of your home, which I would highly recommend. It's not a difficult task using masonry anchor bolts and an impact drill. You can rent the drill at Home Depot and buy the bolts there as well. That's what I did, as this safe allows for you to drill and attach it to either a wall of the floor. My safe is going nowhere, unless the thief really knows what he's doing. Not sure if two guys with a long crow bar could get enough leverage to break it from the floor. This safe has a decent amount of room (enough for some cash, jewelry, documents, etc.), and a cheap, but reliable locking mechanism (it's only a $200 safe). Just make sure the handle is fully in the up position, before turning the dial, or it won't turn properly. The only negative I have is the plastic handle. Really? I get it's an inexpensive safe, but come on.

Nice basic safe
We purchased the 2.2 cubic ft. It is heavy, my husband used a hand truck to move it into our walk in closet. It is plenty big for our important papers, valuables, etc. We decided we preferred just a basic combination safe with a dial. Some reviewers expressed concern re: the dial and handle being plastic-but it appears sturdy enough. We wanted a safe that was fire resistant. We looked at several before deciding on this. We haven’t had it long-but I think it will probably outlast us:)

Almost perfect
For what it is—a safe—it’s perfect: waterproof, fireproof, heavy, well-built, etc. but there are a few things that could be better: 1. If you want to bolt it down it voids the waterproof guarantee since you have to drill through the safe. 2. The combination isn’t changeable—it’s factory set. 3. The painted lines around the numbered dial are thick/sloppy so turning the dial to the exact line is not as easy as it could be. It would be better if the lines were laser engraved. 4. The inside is much smaller than the outside because of all the concrete in the walls of the safe. You may want to opt for the next size up. 5. The shelf is plastic so I wouldn’t put a lot of weight on it.

Good safe!
It took me a little while to set the combination, but once it was done, it is very easy to use. Safe is good and heavy and cannot be moved easily. I like it!

Handle and combo lock feel flimsy.
This safe will do the job. My only complaint is the handle and combination lock feel cheap and fragile. If I were to kick the handle hard I'm pretty sure it would break off. It bends when using it. Traditionally safes and master lock padlocks are metal and this one is made of plastic. For the price I expect a little more. I have only used it a few days and locked and unlocked it several times with no problem. It just feels a bit cheap.

Delivery dreadful
This is a good safe but was delivered by one person. It is very heavy and the lady delivering it pushed it off the truck and let it drop about four foot. It is heavily dented but too heavy for me to bother sending back. Contacted the manufacturer because the dial was hard to turn, possibly because of the delivery, but they never replied.

Awesome Safe
Love this safe! My wife and I needed a safe place for important documents and whatnot. This safe is exactly that. Super heavy, can bolt down if you dont need water tightness. Not sure how it would work with fire Surprisingly spacious inside, but wouldnt be useful for anything other than small items like jewelry, documents, cash, etc The dial works great and so does the key. I like how you need to have both in order to open the safe. Makes it way more secure. Only downside to me is the plastic handle. But besides that everything else works great. Cant speak on the fire rating because we havent needed it just yet. But based on the thickness of the walls, im gonna guess that your stuff would be pretty safe in case of a fire
