Great product - almost
My mom had a stroke. She can’t use the 4-wheel rollator walker, but still really needs the built in seat feature. The only reason this didn’t get five stars is because one of the brakes on the back leg was upside down. I would fix it, but a special tool is needed to remove the brake and turn it over Luckily I was able to use the back legs off another walker (with ski glides) we had and now mom loves it. The walker and seat are very sturdy.

Has some drawbacks
Although this walker appears to be very sturdy, the plastic lever on one side which needs to be pushed to fold the walker broke after just a couple of months, and there is no way to fold that side of the walker. It makes it pretty useless as far as taking it in the car. Also, the "pegs" on the back legs mark the floors and are HORRIBLY noise, screeching with every step. We finally removed them and have put tennis balls on the back legs. With the pegs on the legs, you couldn't use tennis balls, as the balls were too small to fit over both the pegs and feet.

Seat Works Well, Slight Stability Issues, But Overall A Good Purchase
The Drive Medical 10233 Clever Lite Foldable Rollator Walker works as intended, having a seat is a big plus. It appears to be will made and sturdy. The positives: The seat works well for taking a rest break from walking or standing when no seats are available. The seat can also be used to hold a shopping basket in stores. It is also 5 lb. less then my rollator, making it less tiring to use and put in the car. The mechanism for unlocking the sides works better (for now) than the usual "push down" metal tabs which are prone to jamming on my 2 year old walker. The negatives: The type of brake used make the walker slightly unstable when sitting down or getting up. I would use the seat to sit on only on level surfaces. When sitting down and getting up, the brakes tend to work slightly unevenly and allow the walker to move backwards slightly. This feels unstable, especially while getting up and turning to face the walker to walk with it. It doesn't fold as flat as a regular walker to put in the car, even making allowances for the seat. To keep your feet in solid contact with the floor while sitting you may need to adjust the walker to be lower then the optimal heght while walking, but having the seat makes the trade off worthwhile. Overall, I'm glad I bought it. It definitely filled a need I had, a fairly compact and light mobility device with a seat!

Good Outside Walker
Following recent back surgery I need a walker. I need the support. My legs tire easily. To encourage me to get outside and walk more, it was suggested that I get a walker with a seat. No matter where I am, if my legs tire I can sit. The specific recommendation was a rollator. That didn’t work because, with 4 wheels, it ‘ran away’ from me. This seemed the perfect solution, and to a large extent it is. Some observations. Cons The brakes are really annoying. I tend to/need to push the walker along the ground as I walk, rather than picking it up with every step. THe brakes make this impossible. So I took them off and replaced them with those ski type glides. Problem solved. It’s wider than a standard walker. Something to consider if you need to navigate in tight spaces. It’s pretty heavy, relative to a standard walker. The backrest is pretty flimsy. It also prevents adding a front mounted folding tray. Pros The seat is wide and deep enough for my 230 lbs. butt. The seat ‘locks’ securely when folded down. Sitting is comfortable and secure, even for 45 minutes. The carry handle built into the seat is very useful. With the brakes modification this does what I need it to do. But because of the weight, width and inability to add the front tray it is my Outside walker. I still need a standard walker for inside.

Light weight and easy to fold and put in car.
This is my 3rd Drive Walker. The first one was very bulky and didn’t fold flat, didn’t fit in my car trunk and was difficult to manage. In June, I purchased lighter weight one that folded flat, but since I am a senior with a shoulder problem, it was difficult to lift into the car trunk. Both were made out of steel. Each of them were around 150.00. Recently I purchased an aluminum one with a seat (definately need that) however it had one wheel with a brake that you had to push down with your foot. This wheel does not rotate. For an additional 32.00, I purchased replacement wheels that rotates and both wheels go around corners easily. These replacement wheels DO NOT HAVE ANY TYPE OF BRAKES. I use it because I got in the habit Of pulling the seat close to me before I sit. This walker is very light, holds 300 lbs, so it says, and is so much easier to put in and take out of the car. If you purchase the walker and new wheels, they were around 100.00. I would never buy this if the patient had any memory problems for fear they would not pull it close before sitting.
