Boredom Buster

Decided to get this to entertain my young cat at home. Easy set up. Definitely be aware of your pets play habits. The fabric has teeth marks in it but hasn’t ripped despite her efforts. More than once she’s tried to walk off with the mouse after capturing it. I’m giving this a 4 out of 5 though because the arm that has the mouse keeps coming unscrewed from the motor part. Whether it’s because of the nature of it dragging against the carpet as it moves or because my cat is craftier than I give her credit for, I don’t know. It’s also a tad loud but I expect that for the price. Overall I’m satisfied with it.

My cat has an unhealthy obsession

My cat has an unhealthy obsession with this toy, so think twice before purchasing. A little background, I purchased this toy for my two 11 month old kittens. I have one cat that constantly wants to play, specifically chasing her favorite leather belt around (I am not sure why she is obsessed with the leather belt but she is) she constantly begs for it. The other cat loves to play fetch, and will honestly play with just about anything. Both cats are so affectionate and love being with us. I originally intended this toy for my female cat as she constantly begs us to play with her leather belt, and I figured this would entertain her, seeing as she can chase it around and it's less work for me. She could honestly care less about this toy. My male cat on the other hand, this is the only thing he can think about for the past 5 days since I received it. We wake up in the morning, he bangs his paw against it and cries for me to turn it on. I get home from work, more begging. Cries for me to follow him to this toy. I walk near the toy and he comes sprinting out of no where with loud meows. He spends all day next to this thing even when it's off. He no longer wants to snuggle, or play fetch, just wants to chase this dumb toy around. I have only had it 5 days, and the feathers are completely gone, so I do not rank durability of this product very high. But alas, my cat will still chase around the plastic nub. It's a great toy if you're okay with your cat potentially developing an unhealthy obsession.... But I am not sure if it's the toy for us.

A hit!!

I’ve bought all types of toys for my cats, many hits and missed, and this seems ti be a hit!! They love pounding on my feet whenever they see my feet moving under my sheets, so I thought this toy would simulate the “hiding behind a sheet” type play they like. And they do!!! Even my female cat that doesn’t usually play at all, has loved this game. They will literally play with it until they take the wand out of the machine. And as soon as they see me fiddling with the toy, they jump right back down to play with it again. I hope they will continue to enjoy this toy in the long run because it has been a hit so far!

Decent

I'm always on the search for good durable, easy to play with interactive toys for my cats. One in particular gets bored easily. They both love this toy, but the silky covering is a bit challenging. Their nails get caught in it a lot when they pounce on it. However, I'm keeping it, they both love it, and I might buy another one. It's fairly quiet too, big bonus, they hate loud noises.

Fun for cats

My 2 cats enjoy playing with this and an older version. The newer version has a screw in appendage so isn’t as likely to come off in play. However, the cover is thin and doesn’t stay down so my cats actually rather play with the older version. The covers are not interchangeable.

Battery dies quickly

My kitties enjoyed knocking this about and staring at it like a TV. The batteries died within weeks and replacements cost almost as much as the toy, which is a bother. If you have hardwood/tiles it's going to be real noisy when your kitty knocks it out of the box and all over the house, be warned.

i absolutely loooove this adorable little mouse, but my cat spooks easily and wont play with anything if it's too loud this mouse doesn't have any added noises, but the sound that comes from when it's moving spooks my cat so he unfortunately wont go near it

Keeps cats occupied

My cats really enjoy this. They will play with it for hours. The only thing is the mouse gets wrapped up a lot in the blue fabric and it's so loud when that happens but other than that it's definitely a fun interactive toy for cats.

Cats aren’t interested

Essentially this is just a vibrating bug to cats my cats don’t like it they ignore it and it was a waste of money unfortunately you can buy vibrating bugs on wish/eBay which are cheaper but alas my cats weren’t interested in this item so waste of money

Good but for one flaw

It's ok. My Bengal cat loves it, HOWEVER I am disappointed by the absence of a "time-out" on the toy. The toy, when switched on, will continue to run until you have to turn it off. I have other interactive cat toys which, once manually started, will switch off after 30 mins of inactivity, thus saving battery life. If this toy had this function I would have given 5*.

Great cat toy for cats who suck the fun out of everything else

My cat is spoiled. She eats better than I do, and her toys are better too. I have spent countless dollars buying toys, and she hates every single one except feather wands. Balls, mice, bells, lasers, treat dispensers...all of it, refuses to touch them. She just wants her stupid human to spend hours waving a stick around with a feather on it like I have nothing better to do with my life. I don’t, and I do it, but this toy does the same thing I do so that I can take a break! It’s noisy, but she loves it, and it has an auto shut off so I can turn it on for her twenty minutes and walk away and not worry about it again. It’s the best cat toy I have ever bought. If your cat loves cat wands, they will love it. Mine cat also happens to be extremely skittish and was only put off by the loud noise for a short time.

Finally, the toy my cat was waiting for.

The media could not be loaded. This was the toy my indoor cat needed. She is fascinated by the toy and spends long periods of time playing with it. I tried similar products that did not keep her interest as much as this one.

Kitty Can't Get Enough

The media could not be loaded. Hours and hours of fun for my little one! I can't believe what a hit this turned out to be! It does eat through batteries like crazy if your cat can't get enough of this. I've attached a video illustrating the toy (and cat) in action. Has 2 settings, but the fast mode really keeps her jumping. You can also set it and it shuts off automatically after 10 mins or so. My kitty is only 4 months old and she loves loves loves this thing! We'll see how durable it is, as she's kind of rough with it. Wish the feather end stuck out more from underneath the cloth. I've also used it without the cloth cover and it was equally fun for her. I think this would be a hit for anyone who has a cat and needs to keep them entertained and to tire them out. Money well spent!
