Back rest is great, but wheels and footrest may disappoint.
I purchased an adjustable chair for my standing desk two or three years ago and put up with some of the cheaper features until the metal plate attaching the chair's seat to the shaft ultimately started to develop tears in the metal all around where it connects to the shaft and the seat started slanting forward. This time, feeling a bit older and wiser from the last purchase, I sought out an adjustable chair with adjustable arm rests and with what looked like may be a sturdier construction offering greater longevity. I assembled the chair a few days ago and here are my experiences thus far: 1. SEAT and BACK REST: The seat is comfortably padded and the backrest is curved in a manner that feels good to lean against when I take a break from my work. 2. ARMRESTS: The adjustable armrests are not really fully adjustable. You can either have them down and in position to rest your elbows on, or they push up and out of the way. But if you feel you'd like to have them just a little higher, that's not an option. They're either down or up. Adjustments beyond that don't exist. That said, they feel like about the right height for my elbows so far, so I'm not complaining. They are padded, but not generously so. It's thin padding that feels a little rough on bare elbows. If you don't want callouses, you may want to invest in better padding. (I did that with my last chair and the velcro-attached pads made a huge difference.) 3. FOOT REST: It's a poor design. In essence, you adjust the foot rest to your preferred height and then you turn a big plastic knob which presses the end of a bolt up against the shaft of the chair. There are no notches or grooves to help hold the foot rest or bolt in place. It's just the flat end of the bolt shoved up against the smooth shaft, attempting to hold the foot rest in place. There is a little sticker on the foot rest advising you to tighten and check the bolt every month in order to keep the foot rest in place, but the truth is, lasting a whole month at the correct height is only going to happen if you never use the foot rest. I thought I had the bolt screwed pretty tightly in place (since I dealt with this same issue on my last chair), but the foot rest didn't even last a day before it slipped back down to the base. So don't plan on great and reliable things from the foot rest. The only reliable height is to leave it resting on the base. 4: WHEELS: These are cheap plastic wheels. That's just the reality of what comes on these chairs. I know from the last chair that hair will get tangled up in the wheels over time, diminishing the amount they will turn. However, the greater surprise is that these wheels won't consistently pivot and roll on my laminate floor. Even with cheap plastic wheels, that's a problem I've never had before. Hence, I end up "dragging" the chair closer to my standing desk when I sit down, which is leaving big scratches on my laminate floor. Part of why I marked down the "value for money" category is because I can see I'm going to need to buy better wheels if I want to preserve any part of my laminate floor. It's not "value for money" if I'm already having to buy more parts to make it work as it should. 5: HEIGHT: The chair is adjustable for both a traditional desk arrangement and a standing desk arrangement. However, it does not stand as tall as the 28.9 inches promised on the posting details. From the floor to the top of the padded seat, it's about 27.5 inches and it definitely feels shorter than my other chair. I'm going to have to find an additional chair pad to make it tall enough to do the job. BOTTOM LINE: Is it a functional chair? Yes. (Apart from dragging the wheels.) Is the price about right? Probably. I purchased mine for a hundred bucks. Do I anticipate high performance or longevity? Sadly, no. It will get you through in a pinch, but plan on paying quite a bit more if you want a quality chair.

Fantastic company!
I (daugher of the account holder) bought this chair last year and I honestly love it! Recently though, probably during our recent move, the chair sustained a bit of damage where the air pump seal broke, so over time, it would sloooowly lower whenever I sat in it, and I'd have to raise it back up. I figured it couldn't hurt to contact the company directly to see if I could buy a replacement pump. Lo and behold, they got back to me ASAP, and were extremely helpful in getting me the new part - NO CHARGE!! They sent instructional videos on how to get the pump out of the base and stand, and after I told them it was too stuck to get out, they just sent me a whole new base and wheel stand along with a pump! This is a fantastic company that really seems to care, so I'm here to drop a review (something I almost never do). 100/10 will buy again!

Not so bad after all
I needed a comfortable, sturdy office chair and after buying terrible gaming chairs, I settled on a drafting chair for the ability to use for a tall or short desk. Great comfort, lumbar support is excellent in securing your upright, correct posture.. only con is some bolts do not tighten flush - Can't complain much

Great office chair
I love this chair. So; we had an executive chair for the new office reception area; but, the old chair was so low that it would only show the top of my head when a customer walked in. Yes; it was funny to me too. So; I went on a mission to find another executive chair at the height it needed to be for the new counter. Could not find one and then I remembered that draft chairs were built higher for a drafting table. I took measurements of the floor to the top of the counter/desk and started looking. I am a lady and I read the instructions and put it together myself; and, it was easy. Love my new desk chair and I love the foot rack built into the draft chair. This is awesome.

Comfortable, good vertical range, but foot rest falls like all these chairs
These chair manufacturers have not quite figured out how to keep the foot rest on these chairs in one place. Every chair like this I've gotten, I put the foot rest in its location, and within just a few minutes it's far to the bottom. So I can't fault this particular manufacturer for the way it is designed. Otherwise, it is a very comfortable chair. I do wish I had a little bit more lumbar support, but that's why I get my own so I can customize it. Well worth the money.

Great Drafting Chair
I bought this chair to fit our new 36" tall desk. I was very impressed with the design for the average person to assemble. The instructions are very plain and easy to understand. The parts are all labeled including a card that has all of the bolts in separate plastic bubbles and identified with their part numbers, and the only tool you need to put the chair together. The most important connections for the chair have blue Loctite on the bolts to prevent them from loosening unless intended. The chair is very comfortable to sit in. If I were to change anything, I would like to see the arm rests have the ability to be tightened to prevent unintended movement. Other than that, I would receommend this chair to everyone.
