Well done, but…

Received package, everything looks great, once I had put it on it seem to be quite snug and tight, but other than being a size smaller and being a little bit see-through, they are overall good well leggings….

What Has Happened to the Quality?

I have bought many pairs of Spalding leggings in the last few years. They used to be a good thickness and well made, but I've noticed that since early 2022 they have become sheer and develop holes in the crotch area after one or two times wearing. What has happened to the quality of these leggings? Have to find a different brand now. So disappointing.

Spalding quality gone down the drain

I've been wearing Spalding workout pants for literally decades. I've always comfortably worn a size small. The fabric has always been nice thickness with stretch. Actual yoga/workout pants thickness and stretch, NOT leggings/tights. These pants seem like a super cheap, cheezy knock off of Spalding pants. The material is incredibly thin and cheap feeling. More like tights than pants. And as mentioned by others, the sizing is much smaller than usual Spalding pants. I can still wear these, but they are super tight. And unlike my other Spalding pants, these are NOT comfortable. The waist is "kind of" high, but the waistband is just a piece of elastic that does not hold them in place, so they keep pulling down and digging in. I feel like I'm constantly pulling and tugging to avoid having a camel toe or muffin top, and I'm a pretty small person. I'll probably keep them because I don't want to repack them. Maybe I'll become emaciated and they'll fit me better. Haha. I would not repurchase these. I may not even wear the ones I have.

Not the same pair of leggings!

The leggings I received do not look like the picture. I’ve been wearing these specific Spalding leggings for the last 2 years. The one I got is thinner than usual, longer than usual and they say “spalding” on the back where there is usually a small “s” in a circle. Maybe I was sent the wrong item, or maybe they changed their design, either way the quality was not as expected.

Finally! leggings that meet all the criteria

My new favorite leggings. Six months pregnant and living the covid at home lifestyle, while chasing a two year old. I can wear these all day without switching from comfy pants to pants that can be worn outside. They're thick enough that I don't worry about them being see through, they breath well, the waste band stays up but isn't too tight, and the pockets are doing a good job of holding my phone and whatever other small thing I need handy. For some reason a lot of leggings are too tight on my calves, I don't have that problem with these. Was looking for a good cotton legging with pockets, very pleased with these and will be ordering more.

Cute and love the pockets, but runs small

If you’re on the bigger side, like you have a fupa, these aren’t the leggings for you… everytime I try to walk, can’t even think about running, in these leggings, they roll down under my belly :/

Fits too small, legs and waistband uncomfortably tight

I wear L to XL in stretchy, yoga-style bottoms including XL Spalding capris (which are "meh"; I prefer Danskin), so I expected these XL leggings to fit no problem. Unfortunately, the calves and thighs of these pants are super tight and really uncomfortable, the fabric is thick but not stretchy enough, and the elastic in the waistband is way too wide and ridiculously tight. Returned, and will not repurchase this or any other Spalding product, as they just don't seem to be made with women's bodies or comfort in mind.

Uncomfortable seams

I wasn't impressed and returned. This has a separate narrower elastic in a casing for the waistband which I didn't like and all the overclocking on the seams were very stiff and sort of itchy. It also wasn't as long as I would like (5'-10"). Fit was fine otherwise.

Terrible

Waistband looks thick but it's just an arbitrary line of stitching. Elastic inside waistband area is maybe 1.5 cm thick. Look ok wearing them but thin and stiff. Not comfortable at all. See through when bending or sitting down. Will be returning.
