Great sandals! Size up--they run a bit small.

These are great sandals! I hate wearing heels, but sometimes sandals feel too casual (eg. for a wedding as a bridesmaid). I think these are a perfect balance of dressiness and comfort. Sturdier base than most standard ankle strap sandals, and they haven't rubbed my ankles or caused blisters after wearing them for an entire day. I would suggest sizing up. I typically wear an 8.5, but had to size up to a 9.5 to get the right fit. (thank goodness for free returns! :))

Size up

I generally wear a 9.5 shoe. I ordered these in January but was out of the country. A few months later and I am finally able to try it on… it is just a smidge too small. Since it’s past the return period I’m going to get a 10 and sell the 9.5’s elsewhere. Overall though, the shoe looks to be a thick leather material built to withstand the distance. Update: I received the size 10’s and they fit perfectly. So definitely size 1/2 size up if you are borderline.

Sizing is way off

I bought these sandals originally a few years ago and I absolutely adore them. However, at some point it seems they changed the sandal. They made it run extremely small, the originals were 8.5 and fit perfectly, when I tried these in that same size they ran extremely small. I sized up in these to an 9.5 and they are almost the same size as my previous 8.5s, but still slightly smaller! When I compared it to the other ones I can see differences not only in size, but on the side strap it does not have the size and othe info etched on the inside of the strap. I am going to try a size 10 because even the 9.5 seemed a little short. I absolutely love the comfort of these sandals and their versatility, but I don't like what they did with the newer versions of this shoe. Does not run to actual size at all now, I've never worn a size 10 in any shoe!

This is my third pair in this color

I love a simple strappy sandal. My daughter turned me on to Steve Madden some years ago. I got a pair and wore them until they fell off my feet. I wore them all over Europe. I bought another pair a loved them just as much. When I traveled to California for my father’s memorial service I needed shoes and I bought them in black and wear them all the time. Somehow when I moved in 2020 I lost my brown pair so I had to get another. I am wearing them now. They fit wonderfully and I have had no issues “breaking them in”. I hope Steve Madden keeps making them.

Best money ever spent!

I'm a wedding photographer and was struggling to find a good comfortable shoe that wasn't closed toed so that my feet could breathe during summer wedding days without loosing the support I need to be on my feet all day and constantly bending down etc. These are PHENOMENAL. I scuffed the fronts because I walk funny but I wore them for the first time on a wedding day and had ZERO blisters, pinching, or sore feet even after breaking them in for the first time with a 12 hour wedding day. They offer the perfect amount of support, the front doesn't pinch my toes, and they're so comfortable. I was shocked! If I could give these more stars I would!

Beautiful sandals but too small

Beautiful sandals but the straps around the ankle were too short .. I couldn't do up the strap .. not usually a problem for me

Not sized properly

These are super cute and I feel like they would be really comfortable, but I wish I had read the reviews first. The sizing is way off. I’m an 8.5 in pretty much every shoe. This one, i can get on, by my feet go right to the edges. Definitely size up a half size or more. What super sucks is that the colour I want isn’t available in 9 or 9.5 :(. So - back to the drawing board

Incorrect sizing

Sizing is way off, ordered a UK size 6 to replace an old pair (same style and size) but the shoes looked 2 sizes smaller and had no sizing info on the sandals. Returned and I am still awaiting on a refund

Wouldn’t size up, great shoes but not built to last.

Not too small. I have wide feet, I did not size up and they fit great. They also stretch a little with use around the front. They are so comfortable. I absolutely love them, the only issue is they are not built to last. The leather is already cracking and it’s been a month.
