I bought these for two reasons, mainly because I live in a small town in euro,lots of slippery cobble walks. And because we went to Iceland for Easter break. After reading the reviews I was hoping these would do better than my last pair of Merrils. Zero grip on the cobbles, I even slipped, fell and still dealing with injury to my shoulder. These are amazing, the grip is fantastic. I'm walking all over town and not even worried about falling. They were great in Iceland as well, it rained all week. My feet stayed dry ( I did spray an extra protected layer on them) Walked across the rocky terrain, sand, no snow though. Never slipped once even though the ground, pavement was wet the whole time. I ordered the wide size, I have wide feet, lots of room for thick socks, and still very comfortable.

Love them

I bought this pair but there was some problem with the shipping, so they refunded me very quickly. I bought again and really love it. I used them to hike Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon and Sedona, really really sturdy and convenient. They are also water proof.

A must buy!!

These shoes were extremely comfortable on first use without a break-in period. I wore them 12 days straight walking around towns in drizzly Ireland and they were fabulous. Great for spring/fall weather that has cool mornings and evenings. Did not wear them in a down pour, but they did hold true to waterproof during a mild rain storm and drizzly mornings. The granite with purple laces actually look stylish in my opinion. I love them.

They are very comfortable and not clunky!

I loved the tread on the bottom, it’s made so that gravel and rocks can’t get stuck. Love my hikers!

LOVE THESE

These shoes are SUPER sturdy and waterproof. I used them for 4 days in the snow and they were comfortable enough, loved the way they looked and worked great, My feet were super dry! I highly recommend these.

Very Comfortable

Great hiking boots! Very comfortable and durable! I'm a 9 and I had to get a 9 1/2 , the 9 felt a little tight. Just go up a half size and you will be fine ????

Not as resistant to wear as expected

I love Columbia products, and I do like my hiking boots very much. They fit well and are comfortable and seem fairly resistant to wear overall. But it appears like they are already support from the heels to the top of the ankles is already softening, and I have not worn them that much yet, in terms of hours of hiking. The only reason I did not give them a 5-star rating.

Go 1/2 size up for more comfort.

I got a half size up after reading reviews. It was a good choice. I did a 6 hour hike and it was comfortable and durable and sturdy ankle support. The only problem I found was that my ankle at the back started to burn. Maybe choice of sock would make a difference. Other than that I enjoyed the boots, blazed through muds, gravel, rocks easily.

We ordered a half size up to be safe as all the reviews stated they fit small. The fit perfectly.

I like that the tongue is attached for a nice, snug fit.
