Love the cookware. Lid could have been designed better.

The cookware feels solid and looks like it will wear well The scratch resistance works great so far. Love the heat indicator on the pan as I have induction cooktop and it makes it easier to figure out when it is ready to fry. However I do not like the design of the lid. There is an inner lip between the rim and the glass which will be hard to clean if food gets inside. I do like the glass as a lid though. I have had T-fal cookware in the past with metal lids and did not like it as I could not see how it was cooking.

Perfect if you know what you need.

After a month of use, these pots and pans have proven true to the brand. We owned T-Fal pots and pans with our gas stove, and when we switched to induction we were no longer able to use our set. We lost about 7 to 8 pieces, and were struggling to find something that would work with our induction stove. I'm not sure why it took us so long to find this set, but now that we have and purchased it, it's literally the best product for the price. Everyone that complains about the coating scratching off, discoloring, or breaking down too quickly, it's because they wash it with harsh soap and put it in the dishwasher. Using these on a gas stove probably brakes down the durability as well. No non-stick pan will ever stay non-stick if you use soap or a degreaser consistently. These are still the best pants I've ever used.

Best pots that won't break the bank

I'm adding to my T-Fal inventory with this set because, quite frankly, not only are they the best affordable option, but they are dishwasher safe. (Nope, I'm not spending $800 and hand washing my pots.) They are of a substantial weight and perfectly non-stick, and I'm 5 star satisfied.

Excellent with induction top

For the price point quite pleased, been using heavy for a month now and they seem durable, cook very well with induction, come out the dishwasher nice and undisturbed. The nonstick finish is solid so far. Do take care to raise the heat controlled like a regular burner, electric or flame, a lot of energy full on at once doesn't do any cookwear good. They heat up really quick even at or below medium heat settings. With proper care see these lasting a long time.

Cooking Pans That Will Last

We recently moved and when we left the old house we got rid of our old worn out pots and pans. We searched and decided to order a set of T-fal Unlimited Cookware. The set consists of an 8.5 inch & 10.5 inch Frying Pans, 1 quart & 2 quart Saucepans with lids, 3.5 quart Saute Pan with lid, 6 quart Dutch Oven with lid, a spoon, and a turner. Each pan is scratch resistant and even withstands metal spoon's on their surfaces. The handles are sturdy and they don't loosen up like many pans we've had in the past. Although I don't have an induction stove these pots are designed to work with one. There's a red circle in the center of each pan that turns red when it comes up to temperature. Our new house has electric stove and this is a nice feature because pots and pans take longer to heat up compared to gas stoves like we had in our old house. Each lid fits perfectly with little to no bypass around the edge with the pan. Although we wash pots and pans by hand this set is dishwasher safe and T-Fal claims they'll last at least 12 years or more. I don't doubt this claim as my mother has had a T-Fal set for just under 10 years and they're just about in the same condition as they were when brand new.

Sizes

This is a great cookware set for me, a retiree who lives by himself. I don’t think the sizes of the pans would be appropriate for someone cooking for a family.

La cacerola de 1 cuarto no funciona en la estufa de inducción

La base de la cacerola de 1 cuarto tiene un diámetro demasiado pequeño y no funciona en la estufa de inducción. A pesar de que la cacerola tiene el mismo diámetro del quemador, la base es más pequeña y no se detecta. Los tamaños de las ollas son más pequeños que las de otros fabricantes. De no ser por eso, sería un buen juego. Deben informar los diámetros exactos de los utensilios para que esto no suceda.

Should have known.

They're better quality than no name non stick pans, but they are not scratch proof, and should not be used with metal utensils.. They say they're made with a scratch proof coating and even encourage the use of metal utensils. I've never been one to use metal in non stick pots and pans, but since they encouraged it, and even provided some metal utensils to use, I have very cautiously used metal utensils in them on a few occasions. Within a couple weeks there were noticable scratches in the pans.. In fact they have more scratches than my old pans.. I should have just switched back to Lagostina. I'd rather scrub my dishes harder, than eat "non stick, non scratch coating" flakes.

Poor quality, don't gets properly on induction stove

I was really hoping for these to work well. Unfortunately they are quite poor quality. Poor heat distribution and don't heat properly on an induction stove top. May be ok on a gas or traditional electric stove but If you have an induction stove top it's best to pass on this set

Exceptional quality, great non stick surfaces, very well made!

I received the T-fal cookware set in the platinum non stick version with 12 pieces in the color grey. This is a very nice looking set of cookware, the grey color makes them look more modern. The material of the pots and pan are thicker than some others that I have used and they have a lot of weight to them. The covers are also very heavy and very well made. They seem to be fantastic quality. I have been cooking with this set for a couple of weeks now and so far I have had absolutely no issues with the quality of the pots or the covers. The thermo spot lets you know when the pot/pan is completely heated up and ready for food. The non stick surface works perfectly and so far I haven't had any flaking or chips in the surface. I have been using all silicone based utensils in them so far and I can see this set lasting for years to come. This set is the quality we have come to love from the Tfal brand and so far with multiple uses (I cook 1-2 times every single day) this set has been holding up and doesn't have any scratches or other surface issues. It is a completely non stick set, and everything cooks very well and even in both the pots and the pans. Fantastic quality set, sturdy, well made, fantastic non stick surfaces. Completely giftable and I would certainly repurchase when the need arises.

Great mid-price set of non-stick!

For years and years I was always taught that you cannot ever use metal utensils on any non-stick pots and pans, nor can you put them in the dishwasher. This message was so ingrained in my head that I was shocked when I realized that not only can I put these T-fal pots and pans in the over and the dishwasher, but I can actually use any metal utensils I want without scratching off the non-stick layer on the bottom. Being able to use a fork on something in the pan without ruining my cookware is such a huge relief and makes cooking much less stressful. I’ve owned T-fal cookware in the past and I’ve always thought they looked great and worked great. The coating on the outside never seems to flake or fade, which helps them look new for a very long time. The glass lids with the hole for steam are easy to clean, and the classic T-fal feature where you have a red spot in the middle of the pan which turns bright red when it’s preheated is super helpful. Knowing when your pan is actually preheated is annoying so this is a good visual tool. Overall I’m extremely happy with this whole set. It’s super easy to cook with, you can put them in the oven, wash them in the dishwasher, and they don’t scratch. I have no complaints at all!
