This is a fun and challenging game/
It took me a while to understand how to play, and I am no way as good or fast as my grandchildren are at it. But I love playing it so much that I bought two more decks to have at my home when the children visit.

Better for kids
This is a fun game; it says it's recommended for 8 and up. My youngest is 13 and she played it with adults. It goes really fast and after playing it once, we all figured it out, so that it wasn't very fun anymore. I think it's a great thinking game for 8 and younger but older kids and adults found it too easy. I liked that it was easy to learn how to play and that the cards are durable, maybe it would be harder if there were more cards.

Fun game, but not as challenging as I'd hoped
I'm a big fan of brain games, and after playing "Set" for ages, I decided I wanted to find others like it. This game fits the bill, and from looking at the description, seemed like it would provide an excellent challenge for myself and others while sitting around a table chatting. It does this well, and is fun to play... but! I was unaware when purchasing the game that each color dot (ball) and circle (hoop) only appear in a small subset of the spots on a card. For example, a Purple dot and purple circle can both only appear in the middle 2 spots of a card. This means that any two cards with a purple dot and a purple circle can link up. Fortunately, in order to take cards you have to put ALL of the dots into appropriately colored circles, but finding matching cards feels almost trivial. I was making 5-card combos by the end of my first game. What I expected upon first seeing the game was that the different colors would provide an added challenge to the game (not only would you have to line up dots and circles, but they'd have to match colors). What I realized is that the colors are there to make the game EASIER - it's not possible to line up any dot with an incorrectly-colored circle, because of the way the colors are laid out on the cards. To be honest, I think I would prefer this game if the dots and circles were all a single color - then the game would solely be about spatial reasoning and not about "find the matching color". This would be an excellent game for someone wanting to learn or hone their spatial reasoning skills. I'd highly recommend it for kids age 10-16. For myself (late 20s and been playing games like this for 10+ years), it's too easy. Four stars for a fun product.

This game was the only hit out of 4 or 5 games purchased over Xmas--with ages 5 to 74
The very best part. They are completely washable with dish soap. This is important when the 5 year old plays while eating Doritos dipped in ice cream. The bag is handy. The directions are clear. And even though it is a matching game, the abstract circles make it different enough for your brain to have to think. The title "swish" was a good reminder that you want to get the ball inside the "hoop" while matching for anyone with a basketball background. The 5 year old was able to get the most obvious (just take your time looking and don't be cut throat). The 8 year old did pretty well. The 43 year old killed it. The 49 year old did ok. And the 74 year old despite feeling confused with such a new concept for a game, held his own and won some. Everyone loved it. I sent back about 3 or 4 other games that got mixed reviews and this one was a win with everyone. That doesn't happen often. Hint: play on top of an old light-colored towel so you can see the patterns more easily. Only downside for some players is that it is much easier to make quick matches if you are not the dealer and the cards are facing the standard way in your direction. Also, we often got out "swish" in varying degrees of completeness at the same time and had to work out a system for who then gets to pick first. Very minor detractions.

Fun Visual Perception skills game.
Purchased as a Visual Perspestion activity for children's OT sessions. Not as easy to learn as I had hoped but my more advanced clients enjoy it.

Unique game that levels the playing field.
Swish is super portable, unique, and gives kids a chance to beat the grown-ups. We played it in the airport while waiting for a flight and attracted a curious crowd--I don't know of anything out there quite like it. If making pairs gets too easy, you can play variations like groups of 3 only, etc. Definitely a great game to add to your collection!

Game with logical fun!
The product quality is good and the game is real fun. My son loved it when he started making pairs of more than 2 cards. Nice family game. Every one can play and improves logical thinking.

Swish is a original and fun card game suited to all ages
Swish is a original and fun card game suited to all ages. Swish cards themselves are slightly larger than regular playing cards and seem durable. You will need a coffee table sized surface to play on which should ideally have matte surface for ease of play, and be plain (not patterned), otherwise you brain will need to work even harder than the puzzle's designers envisaged. Conceptually Swish is a simple game but there are ways to make it increasingly challenging. This is not a game for the journey; it is more suited to the home or destination. Swish comes with the usual ThinkFun mesh wallet to keep the game cards and instructions safe. There is no particular [dis]advantage to being young or old, and I have regularly played against folk of all ages. I can lose to anyone, but l luckily I am a good loser. Finally a note about the packaging. I was underwhelmed when I first saw the boxed product because in contrast to other ThinkFun products Swish seems to be over-packaged in that the outer container seems to be twice as large in all dimensions as the content requires. Some of this is an effective demonstration of the game's objective, but you may not realise this until you have opened it up, read the instructions, seen the cards and played a round. (Or perhaps I'm just a bit slow). Often we keep the boxes, but not this one. Alternatively, if you are considering this as a gift you might think the generous packaging is an advantage...

Easy to learn, fun to play, well made!
Bought this for my son's 10th bday. (He has 5- and 8-year old siblings as well, who started picking up the rules of the game through observation.) Well made and packaged. Easy to learn, and has various ways to play (for different skill levels, single or multiple players). Comes with a handy storage bag that fits cards and instructions, with room to spare. Since our dining and coffee tables are dark in colour, we use a blank sheet of 11x17 paper to provide a white surface for playing and seeing the colours more clearly.

Looks great fun
This is a gift for a kid who loves card games so I haven't opened it. But it looks as though it's great fun and requires a bit of skill. Look forward to giving it to the child.
