It’s a Tilley

This hat is perfect for a fly fishing hat, looking forward to using this hat as my primary hiking , fishing hat, have not used the hat during the summer so I’m hesitant to comment on it’s use in warmer weather. The construction is very good and I have no doubt the hat will last for many years, shipping and packaging were very good.

Everything I Expected Plus More

Never had a so called "Bucket Hat" but I have other Tilley hats and love the quality and design. The T1 is much more than a bucket hat and I like it so much I look forward to going outside just to put it on. I did go up one size as recommended by others and glad I did, just hoping there is no shrinkage when it gets washed. It just feels so natural on my head and provides great sun protection for the ears, upper neck and face. I originally order the Natural color which was nice but just not for me, however the Green is perfect. I've already wore it in the rain and kept my head dry and once back inside the house the hat dried without any water marks or stains. Yes, it does cost more than other imported products but attention to detail that went in to making this hat is worth the extra cost. Highly recommend.

Great Hat

The brim is not too large, but the way it is angled down a bit provides sufficient sun protection. If it is windy, the typical Tilley front and back adjustable straps keep it in place.

They ruined their best hat.

I have several Tilley hats. My last T1 hat was from few years back. Still in one piece but stained. So I decided to place the order for new T1. My hat arrived and it's a different hat from old T1 hats that Tilley use to make. This one is taller than the old one, which makes it look completely different on you, let alone that is now prone to hits with the wind, so you may need to tie down stupid shoe leash supplied with the hat. I would love to have a word with the "genius" at Tilley that approved this change in design. I am done with Tilley.

Runs small but great quality

Not a lightweight hat for super hot temperatures as it is heavy and well made. For me it ran small and I had to size up 2 sizes. I love it.

This has always been my favorite Tilley hat. I was so concerned when they stopped making them years ago. In my opinion, they are the PERFECT summer Tilley hat.

Still a great hat

I have owned a Tilley T3 for 22 years and it has been to 25 countries and still has many years left in it.It is only just now that I have wanted a hat that looks more urban and informal rather than a trekking/ bush hat. The Tilley T1 isn't really a bucket hat as the brim is a little wider than a bucket hat. It also has a back and front cord to stop it coming off in strong wind like the T3 which can be hidden in the crown with a pocket also inside the crown for stashing stuff. It fits as expected and whilst it may seem a little pricey consider it will last a life time and it seems much better value

Uv protection

Having had two procedures it’s important that I have a good fitting uv protective hat, unfortunately I ordered the wrong size, the hat itself is of great quality and perfect for what I needed just one size to large
