they work well

I bought a pair at Walgreen's once. Then found the brand here. I won't buy any other brand. This is the only brand that fits. Other brands i can't even get on my feet. 6'2", size 13 shoe and big calves. These are definitely snug, as they should be. They do not loosen as the day goes on and work well. The top elastic after about 12 hours does remind you that its there, but nothing a little re adjustment won't fix. Get the whole sock over your toes and half way back your foot, the start stretching from there! I like them! Like i said tight but your feet won't be swollen at the end of the day!

I liked the old travelon socks that had the sweat sock bottoms. These are way to tight, and if you have to wear for long hours do not win away sweat.

"Great option for those who stand all day"...

I found these at a local bargain retailer at a very nice price. Once I verified they were good, I bought enough pairs to get me through a 5-day work week. They say they're for travel but so far they're holding up for a once per week usage of 8 hours per day. I am 6' 1/2" tall and weigh 188 pounds with a medium/large frame. My tennis shoe size is 12. I wear the size L (large) of these socks and they fit perfectly. I like that the elastic at the top is snug and it doesn't slide down much if at all. These socks are tight but that is the point. I work in loss prevention for a retailer and my company has us now chained to the sales floor for almost the whole day. As a result, I needed something to help my aching feet and legs. The difference is immeasurable. It's completely night and day. I move around frequently so I am not a statue which helps along with these socks. Now all I need is something for my back...does Amazon sell new spines? I wash these in a mesh/nylon zipper bag for delicate items so they don't get damaged. I wash them in COLD water on the GENTLE cycle. They are holding up very well so far. It did take a slight adjustment to get used to a sock so tight. Also, you should follow online "compression socks" directions on how to apply them to your feet so you don't stretch them out or damage them. I air dry mine on the carpet in the house and they're dry by the next morning normally. I bought these after my doctor recommended getting some compression socks to avoid getting veins in the feet/lower legs and improve circulation to the lower extremities.

Helped with achilles tendon

At 74 yrs I walk 7 - 10 kms. every day for exercise. I have suffered with achilles tendon since age 18. It used to hit for a week or two at the change of the seasons, summer to fall and winter to spring. Two years ago it came on hard but did not release. These Copper Infused Compress Socks have helped a lot to bring down the swelling and pain. I first bought one pack of two pair. Tried them and liked them so much that I bought two more packs which allows me to wear a clean pair every day.
