A good hat, fits my big head, keeps off the sun
My head is big. Most large men's hats don't fit me (I mostly don't bother with hats that are specifically for women for that reason. Too small.) .This one fits comfortably, looks stylish and keeps the sun off. I would like more color options, particularly Chocolate and Burgundy. But I have the camel color & the navy blue and I really like them. Keeps the sun off, and fits my head!

An Outstanding Boonie Hat
I was curious as to what I would receive when I bought this hat. I had also bought a US Government issued boonie hat at the same time from another source. I'll be honest, this hat compares very favorably to and in my opinion may exceed the Mil Spec boonie hats! The material is of equal quality, the width of the brim is the same size but is a little stiffer. In the very top of the hat, there's a double layer of material that can serve as a pouch for storing some small papers if you wished. The only down side is the "chin strap" comes with a plastic cylinderical toggle clip fastener with the chin loop tucked through it that is only held on by its own closure compression spring. If you happen to open the toggle or catch it on something, it can simply slide off of the chin strap cord and become lost or result in you having to spend some time getting the chin loop pushed through the opening while compressing the spring to open its hole. It's also large and is somewhat bothersome hanging around your neck unless you tuck the whole chin strap up into the hat during use. I'm used to the small leather or rubber stamped piece acting as a holder for the Mil Spec hats which work well in my opinion. Yes, I still highly recommend the hat and would get it again.

Nicely made
For its price point it’s durable and stands up to the elements. I wanted functional over fancy and you get that with this boonie. The cinch on the strap came in handy in strong winds.

Too floppy brim
It is well made but the brim was not rigid. It was too floppy. Returned.

Not real.
Ok, yes it's a real hat but it's not even a good copy of an actual military style boonie hat. It's uncomfortable, doesn't adjust nicely and the seams in the wrong place so it cuts into your forehead when ya put it on. This is one of those hats you put on take off and move on, or in this case return. Don't know where it's made don't care. It's not good.

Very nice boonie.
This hat is very well made and the adjustable sizing is great for that perfect fit. The digital camo pattern is awesome. Small top pocket inside of hat (about the size of a calculator.) This is not a shallow hat. It rides perfect for me. 7"3/4 -7"5/8. plenty of head room. The adjustable tie down strap is a great feature and allows you to secure up/down cowboy/Aussie style. If your looking for a well made boonie with good protection and at a great price, then look no further! Side note: It can be a little warm on very hot days. This hat shines in Spring, Fall, winter.

Excellent miltary-style hat
Excellent miltary-style hat product. Material is just a little bit stiff for my comfort level...poly/cotton blend would be a bit more comfortable if the percentage of cotton was higher. Alternatively, if the hat's band was softer, the existing blend for the rest of the hat would be just fine.

Superb hat
Pretty solid Boonie hat. It's well made and I love that it's adjustable. I would say that the Tru-Spec is better made than the Rothco Boonie. I own both. The only takeaway is that it doesn't have the the loops around the top for sticks and bush vegetation.

Product is excellent. Delivery got delayed by more than a month. It was stuck in customs. Need not worry about head circumference. You can adjust it according to head size. Reason for my purchase was to use it while hiking. To minimize face and neck sun burns. Meets that reuirement 100%.
