Great for learning addition and fact families.
Helped my kindergartener learn the making ten facts quickly. You can also make up your own version to practice what you're learning.

Fun way to learn partners of ten!
My first graders love this game! It really helped them learn the number partners that add up to 10. The game is very easy to learn.

Make 10 and more
Adding to make 10 is an important step in the math journey. Before playing this game try Clumsy Thief Jr. which helps kids more passively make ten, then read the book Ten for M, walk through how it works on a 10 frame, finally play this game where there are no hints to make the right matches. Enjoy learning to add to 10 = ) Once you master adding to 10, you can use these tiles in many different ways. Try adding to a different number besides 10 like 9 or 11. Try subtracting by 1 or 2 from all the numbers. Having the tiles work in so many different ways is the biggest plus in this purchase.

Endlessly adaptable! Great value! We will use this game for many, many years!
This became a favorite in our house after only the first time playing. It was purchased to help improve the mental math speed and accuracy of our 6 year old first grader. By the end of the first game he was a master at adding up to 10. I was so impressed with how quickly he learned that 7 & 3 go together, 6 & 4, etc. This game is also endlessly adaptable, which adds HUGE value! There are a LOT of sharks in the game, which eat any sets you have collected. At first I thought the high number would cause frustration, but it actually seems to reduce it because it levels the playing field a bit, and makes it fun to see how high of a stack we can collect before the shark comes and eats it. Our younger one likes to pretend to play too. As much as the big kid loves to play this game I wouldn't be surprised if the little one masters basic addition before he gets to kindergarten! Some other ways you can play it: - Remove equal and higher numbers to play "I Sea (lower number)". For example, remove 7's, 8's and 9's, plus a few sharks, and play "I Sea 7". Make sure to remove some of the sharks too, otherwise it will be too many sharks for the number of cards you have out. - Play "I Sea _____" using at least 3 numbers (be prepared for leftover cards). - Subtraction only - Free-for-All: addition, subtraction, or multiplication; any number of cards - Multiplication - whoever can call out the correct answer first gets the cards - Fractions and decimals - Take turns flipping like normal, but make sure to pause in between flips, and whoever calls out the correct decimal for a fraction gets the cards. For example: if a 1 is flipped over, then a 4, someone could call out .25. If no one can get a decimal after a flip, then the next person can turn one over. This also helps practice reducing fractions because someone could call out .33 for 3 and 9. Your creativity is really the only limit here!

Cute game
Fun quick game. Needs more ways to practice other math facts. I plan to call out an addition family ( 6) and kids can keep pair that add up to that sum and call another number to increase mental flexibility.

Great Supplement to Homeschool Curriculum
I know it says for ages 6+, but I bought this for our four year old Kindergartener who has a good grasp of numbers. It's a great math game that I use as a supplement to his homeschooling math "curriculum." He LOVES to play this game. I go slow with him and we don't bother with the shark pogs just yet...we'll work our way up to that. But we've played 2 and 3 players so far; it's fun and educational. I make him tell me the number on the pog he flipped over before he's allowed to call out, "I see 10!" Then I give him a few seconds to see if any of them make ten. The first time he played, he really only understood 5+5=10, but after about 4-5 times of playing, he's starting to get it and make more combinations of ten. It's really awesome hearing him say, "I see 10! 7 plus 3 equals ten!" Playing this has helped him distinguish between the numbers 6, 8, and 9, as he confuses those three the most. This is a great math tool that we'll use in our homeschool for years to come.

Great game- needs an improved box
Highly enjoyed the game. I was able to play it with my 5,8,10,12&15 year old. My 8&5 year old we focused on adding and we played it a bit slower. For my older 3 m, we were able to play the game spying numbers that added up to 10. Then we made it a condition to see which numbers we could add to get 20. The coins that are used for the game are sturdy. The colors are eye catching. The only thing that would make this better is if the box lid would actually stay on.

Fun game for 7 year old struggling with math
I like this game. It’s easy to explain and understand. Games go fairly quick maybe 5 or ten minutes with a young one who’s not super fast with addition. By the end of playing just one game I noticed my son was able to remember some of the additions to 10 that came up frequently. I think he will only get better and better with each additional game play. This was just the right amount of challenge for my 7 year old to still have a lot of fun with it. I thought I’d have been bored to tears and spend the game letting him win at least half of the time and even tho I was slower to call out the tens right as soon as I’d seen them, the game is made in a way that you can go from being the best with the most amount of acquired cards to losing them all and having the tables turn to the benefit of the other player in a second… and back and forth. Very fun for young ones :) I enjoyed it as well

Awesome game that can be played many ways.
I tutor math for kids with learning differences so this game is great for memory building, matching, counting and addition/subtraction facts under ten. Quick to play.

Excellent Educational Game
I Sea Ten is a great game for children from ages 4 to 10. It can be used by younger children to make ten , then you can make it more challenging for older children. For example make ten with three cards. Or as they get older they can make twenty. It is well worth the money.
