Works Well on Concrete - Not Great on Wood Deck
I was pleasantly surprised at how well this works on my concrete porch and sidewalks. I bought some cheap extension wands for the pressure washer to use with this device. They allow me to stand up straight while I use it which is a good deal for my 71-year-old back. The Karcher attachment did the job in a small fraction of the time it took me with a standard pressure washer nozzle. There is also an undocumented feature that worked well for me. One of my sidewalks has really poor drainage and the water with soil ponds on it. If you pick up the device slightly, it will 'fly' like a Hovercraft and that worked great to blow the ponded water away from the sidewalk. Also, overall, the device makes a lot less mess when pressure washing a sidewalk, because the cover prevents it from blowing dirt and debris against the house. However, it doesn't work as well on a pressure treated deck. I didn't notice the problem until the deck dried, but it left swirl patterns in the wood. It won't hurt anything if you are going to solid stain or paint your deck, but think twice if you plan to use a transparent or semi-transparent stain. Finally, I did have the same issue with the lock nut under the unit that has been reported by others. I simply remembered to tighten the nut by hand every 20 to 30 minutes and I didn't have a problem. If you have a lot of concrete to pressure wash, I would highly recommend the Karcher attachment.

Cleans much faster than using a wand alone!
I used a 3200 PSI gas Generac pressure washer. This surface cleaner made the job so much faster than years past using only the wand. I cleaned the driveway (3 car) and two walkways in just a couple of hours. Since it now takes much less time, I will be cleaning it about every 3 months or so to maintain the clean look. If you lift up while spraying it will levitate but easy to keep on the ground. It also does an okay job if you have a low spots that holds water (just like the wand would). I just had someone sweep out the water while cleaning my low spots and it worked great. I also think it causes less wear while cleaning that the wand foes when you get too close and start blasting the cement away. I wish I bought this years ago! I would not spend more money on more expensive models. This one will do the job!

Well Made Especially Where It Counts
JUNE 2019 UPDATE: Last time I cleaned my friend's driveway with a Karcher ~1800 PSI electric job (and stock wand) it took 6 1/2 hours. Never again I told myself. Since then, I got a Simpson 3200 PSI 2.5 GPM cleaner and then the Karcher surface cleaner. Last week I cleaned my friends driveway AND the sidewalk in front of her house with the new equipment and it took 3 hours. Being that the biggest concern with this surface cleaner is the nut coming loose, I periodically checked it and did not notice any problems with the nut. However, it seems that the plastic housing did turn 90 degrees over the course of the job, so I will continue to monitor it. NOTE: Once in a while I would accidentally let the surface cleaner lift and tilt off the ground and I would notice greater vibration coming from the unit as it's axis would tilt. I could imaging this extra vibration potentially shaking something loose, such as the nut, so I recommend keeping the unit consistently parallel to the ground. I also picked up a 33" wand extension here from Amazon and I highly recommend one for those who have a short wand. The longer wand will save your back. So I still recommend the Karcher surface cleaner. Any new developments and I will update this review. Original Review: I matched this surface cleaner up with a Simpson 3200 PSI 2.5 GPM pressure cleaner with 18" gun and 16" wand, approximately 24" total length. Initial impressions on fairly porous very dirty concrete driveway and sidewalk: Does a good job cleaning. As expected, I had to finish the job by reconnecting my spray wand and rinsing off everything that I cleaned with the Karcher. I found out that some areas were not sufficiently cleaned the first time around and I had to spot clean while rinsing. There is a learning curve with this product as is probably true of all similar surface cleaners. You have to figure out what method works best for you and how fast you should move. Ideally, you want to use the power of your machine to make the Karcher hover over the surface. Not really lifting off but not causing friction between the surface and the brushes that skirt the Karcher either. This is the method, I found, if you can manage it, that causes the least user fatigue. You also need to find the optimum speed at which you should move. This will depend on the PSI and GPM of your machine as well as the surface type and how dirty it is. For my driveway (very dirty), I needed to move pretty slow, maybe a couple inches per second. I was hoiping it would be faster, but it is what it is. Perhaps if I clean it more often, it will be quicker. One thing I will be investing in is a longer wand (to reduce bending over and user fatigue) and I am researching the ideal length. I am a little under 6 feet tall and obviously, the ideal wand length will be a function of user height. If someone has experience here, please let me know in the comments. As far as construction goes: Karcher is a German company, and like most German companies they seem to have a focus on engineering. They seem to do it right where it counts most. The biggest wear area, IMO, is the "bearing". AFAIK, Karcher uses a real sealed bearing and according to another reviewer, most other products in this price range don't really use a proper bearing. They cut corners and use a sleeve and/or washer for the friction area. If you have a product of this type, I'd recommend greasing the sleeve/washer often, perhaps even before or after every use to prevent rapid wear. Prior to buying the Karcher 15" surface cleaner, I looked at the Simpson and PowerFit (also rebranded as Yamaha for even more $$) surface cleaners. They used to be priced about the same as the Karcher, but are now 20-$30 more at the time of this review. The Simpson has a metal deck (which may rust?) but the same pseudo bearing as the PowerFit. The Karcher deck seems to be made of a durable plastic with a stiff brush skirt which keeps the water from spraying all over you. In addition to the metal sealed bearing, the Karcher uses a heavy rotating spray bar and brass/stainless steel fittings. There is a plastic nut top and bottom that holds the metal parts in the deck. I recommend checking these nuts regularly to make sure they are not loosening. And even though the Karcher is advertised as 15" (the deck is 15") the actual working measurement is closer to 12" based on the length of the spray bar. I assume all competing products have a similar discrepancy. In review, I recommend the Karcher over competitors based on their using higher quality components where it counts most (bearing). And right now they are actually less expensive which make the decision even easier. To maximize the benefit, I recommend using a machine as close as possible to the Karcher recommended max specs: 3200PSI and 2.7 GPM. While lesser specs should work, performance will be diminished and will make the job take longer. And at some point, if the machine is too small (like many of the electrics under 2000 PSI) it may not work sufficiently well to warrant the purchase. As to longer term durability, I will attempt to update this review in the future after I have had the product for a suffient time.

Powerful little surface cleaner
Made good work of our driveway, though I probably would have gotten a one larger in circumference due to the Sq footage that required cleaning. But that's the fault of my judgment and not the product. This little thing performed admirably and will be perfect for slightly smaller areas. I found that a forward and backward motion worked better for a smoother operation. When moving side to side, the attachment seems to catch unless you give the handle a bit of a twist in the opposite direction to lift up the bristles. Overall, very happy with it and will be using it on the deck and back patios next.

excellent
works great!! only $50. before and after pics of a 30ft X 40Ft smooth concrete sport court. used a very inexpensive 1600psi electric pressure washer. easy to use. does not have wheels. "floats" on the brush ring which turned out to be an advantage because you can go over objects or uneven surfaces with ease. also used it my driveway that has grooved concrete. also worked great. had to move a little slower and redo a few spots but still did a great job.

Works good and good quality.
I bought this for the brand. It works good for the driveway and side Walk. I went to the deck with old rust oilum and not too good as the paint was thick and old. As I have tools I was able to thigh the big plastic nuts so the rotational tool doesnt spin. Other than that it was good. Good: is good material. Cleans faster with less water. Requieres that you go slow so it covers correctly the pat. Cons: the nut was loose but I had the correct tool to fix it. It doesn't have an extension so if you water gun is short you may have to be hunching. Saves time and effort. Also when working it kind of float with the water pressure toward the floor.

How did I manage without this?!
Wow! This is an incredible attachment for your gas pressure washer, in my case a Champion 3000 PSI model. I was unsure about buying it as I used to have a Karcher electric pressure washer with a similar attachment, but it wasn’t very effective. But I took a chance based on the good reviews and I’m not in the least bit disappointed. In fact I wonder how I got by without it all these years. If you note the first picture I’ve posted with this review, you can see my first swipe over my back porch with layers of winter grime build up. I didn’t even pretreat with detergent, and you can see how effective it was. Keep in mind, this was after a single pass (not forward and back, just a single straight line forward) and it completed a 15” swath in seconds. I estimate this attachment cut my time at least in half, probably closer to a two-thirds less time as with a standard nozzle. In the second picture you can see the deck half cleaned, all done with this attachment. It does a remarkable job. It’s simple to use and masterfully designed. The attachment point pivots allowing you to push as if you were pushing a vacuum cleaner. And the attachment point also rotates 360 degrees which is handy when pressure washing up against objects...the attachment rolls against the object, a retaining wall for example, as you push making the task much easier. Brilliant! Considering this item? Get it! You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend! * Helpful votes always appreciated *

Solid
The media could not be loaded. Works like magic. Keep moving or you will leave ring imprints on surface, but move slowly for thorough cleaning. Simply snaps on to existing power wash arm. Would recommend buying a longer one to prevent having to bend over as much for big jobs. The unit is light with no assembly required. I used a 3200 psi pressure washer...(the max recommended). It will bring old wood back to life and remove the dirt, greying, and wooly formations that accumulate. My only complaint/warning is to be wary of clogging. It is very difficult to declog in the event it gets blocked. This might only occur if you have dirt in your hose line or are drawing water from a pond or something. Flush your lines out first before attaching.

Makes quick work of power washing
You're probably looking at this gadget and thinking...ah it's just another gimmick! How much time can this really save me? Nope, not another gimmick and it will save you a lot of time. For me, it cut my power washing time for my deck and walkways by HALF! The circumference of the surface cleaner will make quick work of the task. There's a nozzle that spins underneath. All you need to do is pull the trigger and move it along at a slow and steady pace. It beats using a nozzle to clean, even the oscillating one. You'll still have to do some quick clean up of the area like power washing/sweeping some of the debris that gets left behind. You can also continue to use a surface cleaner to pretreat the area first if you need to. I've used it with and without the cleaner depending on how dirty the surface is. I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 star due to the top nut coming loose from time to time. You'd need to retighten it by hand as it works itself loose. You'll hear it as the unit wobbles when you lift it off the ground. Not a big deal and maybe I just got a slight quirky one from factory. But other than that, unit works fine and I've put about 6hrs on it. This is definitely a big time saver. Your back and your body will thank you!

well made and very sturdy
I am very happy of the quality and functionality of the product. after reading some of the negative comments about the product I had my doughts but went ahead anyways and purchased the item from Amazon knowing that if any issue with it I could return it or replace it. afetr several use it did the job perfectly and in a very short time. I strongly recommend that surface cleaner I am a 70 years old and not a professional just a home owner and had absolutely no difficulty using it with a new Yamaha 3200 psi pressure washer

There are two versions, with different adapters, so get the correct one
I stupidly bought this as an impulse buy, without thinking about the connections to my electric Karcher pressure washer. As clearly pointed out in the product description, this version is for the gas powered version. When it quickly arrived, I saw that it was well built, with proper steel bearings that allow the wand to rotate smoothly, and I was excited to use it. Unfortunately the plastic connections on my Karcher pressure washer do not play nice with the brass adapter for gas washers. Also many electric washers are not as powerful as most gas powered washers, so they require a smaller wand with a smaller diameter. Amazon was kind enough to give me an exchange for the smaller T300 Karcher version designed for electric pressure washers, and even free return shipping even though it was my mistake. Bravo.
