Body fat calculation questionable

The weight part is accurate. Programming the weighing scale is a bit of a pain; it's not a simple matter of hopping on and off. And the body fat part is questionable: If you say you's sedentary, it will show a different BF percentage. If you say you're very active, you get a lower percentage. It's still you, same height, same weight. But by changing the activity level, you get different readings. That shows it's not actually measuring your body fat, it's using an algorithm. If you're a member of a gym, you can get a more accurate calculation by asking the trainers there to do a skinfold caliper measurement. Still, if you're on a fitness or weight loss regime, this Beurer scale is a good way to keep track.

You have to register to get your weight in to Health?

One of the reasons I purchased this device was that the iOS app could be used without registering. Yes... and no. Yes, for a couple of the measurements, but no for (wait for it... okay... ready?)... WEIGHT. Okay. So, I set up a spam email box not linked to anything I do anywhere except for this, and no PIA in the spambox's name. Still. Disappointing. Maybe I'll just have to hack the BLE protocol from the scale and sell a 99 cent app that doesn't require registration, but feeds Health. BONUS: I didn't "complete" the registration, but still have my Weight feeding Health. Let's see how long that lasts.

Good products , faulty scale

Update. Had a new replacement within 1 week from Beurer. Great company to purchase from. Highly recommended. Worked for 1 month...have contacted Beurer and they are going to check it out.

Love this scale and great design!

I was reading other reviews prior to me ordering and I was a little dubious about the app's function. I called Beurer's customer service line and they reassured me the bugs had been fixed and if anything happened they had a return policy. They were so helpful and kind over the phone that I felt safe and if anything happened I would be okay. I'm so happy I followed my gut. The scale arrived within a day and I immediately downloaded the app. The bugs that other customers were angry about were not an issue at all for me. I was able to properly use it and sync my measurements. I also appreciate how elegant the scale is, it looks amazing in my bathroom. Overall I would recommend buying and suggest talking to their customer service first too if anyone has any doubts!

Software ruins it

The device is fast and consistent, but the software is quite buggy. It's hard to pair more than one person, and data points are never updated in the time graph (weeks missing) even though the app shows it's synced with the device today. If it had a no-software option it would be great, but you have to use the app for anything other than weight, so the tracking and non-weight measurements (bmi, body fat, etc) are effectively unusable.

Good things come to those who weight

I got this scale because one of my new year’s resolutions is focus on my health and wellness. My first impression was that I liked the look and design of the scale. It’s slim, light-weight and looks/feels very high quality in my bathroom, especially with the digital reader. The Bluetooth idea was something I hadn’t heard of before, but I really like it. They have an app to download for free and it let’s you sync the data to your phone. I personally find it helpful because it let’s me keep track of where I am. I also learned more about my body because it tells you your body fat/water/muscle/bone mass percentages. My roommate also uses it because it lets you make more than one user profile which is really neat.

Bluetooth, sync and app a broken mess.

Upon unboxing, the scale looks good. I was able to pair it with my phone using the Beurererererer application from the Play store. Although Google Fit, or Amazon, or other health apps aren't supported, they aren't mentioned, so I was disappointed, but not surprised. The application's functionality, from the onset, is limited to providing a place for the scale to store the measurements, as well as providing the height and age info *to* the scale. The app only allows one user, so if you want to enter multiple users onto the scale, for measuring BMI, etc, everyone has to load the app on their phone. For the first two weeks of use it seemed like a fine product. The scale will not sync with the app. A bluetooth icon wil appear once every half dozen times I step on it. The instructions describe the scale storing the information and sending it to the app if the app is opened within bluetooth range. This does not happen. Do not buy if you expect it to work as described. If you want a scale to measure BMI, body fat %, water, etc, buy one that will without requiring to pair with a broken application, for half the cost. If you want a scale to track and monitor your progress with Apple, Google, or Samsung health services, or even its own software, look elsewhere.

So accurate & helpful

Throughout the pandemic, I gained a few pounds and decided to make a change. I started working out but wanted a body scale that would tell me more than just my weight. So I got this one and I didn’t even realize it was a smart scale!! So I can connect it to my phone and track my progress so easily! I actually took a trip to the doctors office last week and was able to show him. My current weight matched with the scale in his office so I can say it is very accurate!

Una compañía sin escrúpulos

Recibí el producto, y no pude usarlo. Viene sin códigos para usar el bluetooth, las instrucciones no incluyen claves, la compañía no se hace responsable porque no hay representantes en el país, la app que hay que bajar no trae el modelo BF70 y no sirve de nada, etc., etc. ¡Una catástrofe real! La compañía sabe todo esto, y de todas maneras te vende el producto. ¡No tienen escrúpulos! ¡Qué vergüenza para este escaparate de compras! A pesar de todas las quejas publicadas con anterioridad a la mía, no retiran el producto de la venta.

Es un producto muy bueno por el precio, pero la aplicacion movil ya no existe y no es compatible con la ultima version de app movil

No funciona en México

El aparato aparentemente es bueno, sin embargo la app para programarla y utilizarla no aplica para México y sin la app, es una simple báscula. La devolví porque la escogí por sus características adicionales.

Compre el producto y resulta que para México no sirve porque la aplicación movil no esta disponible para México, sin la aplicación no sirve esta bascula, ya la devolvi, esperemos que Amazon ponga atención en esto y retire de la venta este producto para nuestro pais
