What every storyteller needs!
The media could not be loaded. If you're interested in storytelling Vampire the Masquerade, this book has everything you need to get started. The pros of the core book is that it has a step by step guide on not only how create characters, but how to set up your chronicles! Only downside is that there is a ton of information in there, so it may take a few times to go over all the rules.

Great item, damaged in shipping
Like the book. The packaging was a box 11" by 17". No infill. So the book slid around in the package and was damaged. My only option was to return it. I just wanted to complain about the shipping.

Great guide
There was no pdf code, but online copies are easy enough to Google. I wanted a hard copy to reference at the table. The book came in new condition and is exactly what I wanted! In depth explanations and beautiful full color artwork on every page.

Originally thought product was damaged but upon second review there is little to no damage. The item was late and left outside in the open hallway where anyone can come and pick it up from the street.

A bit confusing but the reference in the front of the book helps.
The book is a 10/10 for writing and art. Its heavy, big and the pages are high quality. The only issue is navigation as in you may have to page through sections in a weird order to make sense of the mechanics and game if you are new to it. Thankfully there is a reference in the beginning of the book with chapters and page numbers and if you just use that you wont struggle. Also big thanks to who ever packed my book because they wrapped it in protective plastic and then put it in a box with airbags - I point this out because my sabbat book for VTM just came in a cardboard sleeve and the book got a bit damaged.

Great version of the game along with great artwork!
As a fan of the Vampire: the Masquerade games and a dabbler in the World of Darkness franchise, I heavily enjoy the lore and world of VtM. This was my first experience with tabletop gaming and everyone I played with enjoyed it. Really cool premise and while it may be hard to wrap your head around all the pages, the artwork keeps you immersed in the presentation and left me avidly wanting to read a tabletop gaming corebook for fun.

Good content, bad quality
Overall it is a great book, but it has some issues. The good: Its a great immersive way to get new players. The book introduce the new players with lore and intrigue points, which is great and really makes you into the game. The aesthetic of the book is also amazing, and compared to previous edition, it makes the game more attractive. Everything is well explained and makes it more accessible for new players. Now the bad: The book biding is bad quality. In my book there was a stain and every time I open it, I feel like it gets more and more fragile. It cracks and the inside cover is not glued smoothly, as there is a bubble in the inside cover. In the lore, they make a great point that there are 13 vampiric clan and you can be a vamp from any of these! But! this book only contain 7 clans, the others are in other books. While marketing wise it makes sense (more books = more money), but it is a little disappointing when after you get hyped up by the first 100 pages about those 13 clans only to found out there are 7 of them presented in this book. (while I knew about this prior to buying, I did find it weird how much they advertise and mention the other clans in the lore/intro, but forget about them once in the official clan presentation) The layout is confusing. There are a few instance where a sentence is cut in the middle and you expect it to continue in the next page, only to find out that they decided to do a two page spread on another subject! While it looks cool, it would have been great to finish the first subject you were talking about before instead of having to skip 2 pages to finish the sentence you are reading. Final words: Overall its a great core rule book. It isn't perfect, but this seems to be a constant for World of Darkness games. The book makes it really clear that the game is mostly base on Role Play and not stats, which I like. It is a little bit more limiting than previous editions, but it did fix the unpleasant aspect that vampire requiem had. It also makes the game way more accessible for new players. For me its a solide 3.5-4 stars depending how you feel about the issues I mentioned.

Arrived in great condition
I was a bit dubious about ordering after reading the previous reviews. This book arrived quickly, all cellophane in tact and in good condition. There is a little wear at the corner of the book, see pictures, but other than that it is perfect. No horror stories such as the other reviews. There is no pdf thing in it, and I don't know if there's supposed to be one as its not advertised as having it.

Great book, but terrible seller
Vampire 5th Edition is pretty great. However my review is for this particular item on amazon, which is fulfilled by Amazon themselves, rather than the system or contents. I wish I'd listened to the other reviews as someone in their warehouse is opening the shrink wrap and damaging the book in the process, stealing the codes redeemable for a free PDF copy, and then shipping the books out like this. Disgusting. There's a separate Amazon listing fulfilled by Asmodee, use that or a different site entirely. Mine looks like its 2nd hand and I get no PDF code, completely unacceptable and probably illegal.

Interessant
Ich finde mich zwar nicht so ganz in den Regeln wieder, aber das liegt eher an meiner engstirnigen "früher war alles besser"-Natur. Die Bilder sind Geschmackssache (Nosferatu sind eindeutig zu hübsch im Buch). Aber die Qualität des Buches ist sehr gut und die Regeln gefallen der Person, für die es gekauft worden ist. Ich vermisse nur meine Tzimisce, hätte die lieber auch in einem Buch stehen gehabt, als in einer PDF
