Nice looking bag, but a tad awkward

I love the simple aesthetics of this bag and was excited to give it a try. I am 5'4" for reference and I included photos with the long and the shorter strap. It falls a little funny on me because of it's size--it's like it's in between a regular shoulder tote and an actual full size tote bag which makes it a bit awkward to carry with either length strap. I love the black and white print on the inside, so much prettier to look at than just basic black. I also really like the fabric being that it is water resistant--so easy to clean and maintain. This is definitely good for carrying a laptop, notebooks, books, etc. so it just depends on what your everyday needs are...for me, I don't think I will be using this as an everyday bag. I will likely use it on occasion, when I need to haul a little more.

Definitely oversized!

"Oversized" is definitely the right way to describe this bag - I would call it a messenger bag, not a hobo bag. As you can see in the photo, my 16" laptop fit with room to spare. I think it would be PERFECT for travel, but for me, it's a bit too large to be practical for every day use. That said, there's a lot to like: it has two straps, and the shoulder strap is more than long enough to use crossbody. The inside lining is light and makes it easy to find things. It has one zippered pocket and two open pockets - my large iphone fit just fine. To me, the fabric feels more like nylon than twill, but I think that's also helpful for travel because it seems easy to clean. I wish it had a zipper pocket on the outside, but you can't have everything.

Huge bag

I love this bag. It is absolutely huge, as far as purses go. I took it to a horror convention, and it not only held all my usual crap, but held everything we bought there, too. Seriously, the amount of stuff I had in there was astounding. Lol It has a quilted like pattern to it, bit it is definitely water resistant. Has a pretty pattern inside as well. Comes with 2 straps, one for carrying by hand and one for using it over your shoulder (or even cross-body style). Super sturdy material and construction. Love it!!!

Pretty but strap is uncomfortable

It is large and roomy. I thought it might fit my large computer. It does fit but is hard to pull in and out because of the shape of the bag. I also was trying to use it for books. The strap is thin so it does hurt when carrying heavy things. Not sure if it is but the outside feels thicker and feels durable. It’s got a cute print on the inside too that I expect from Vera Bradley bags.

If you travel with a Surface, this is for you

I travel A LOT for work. I spend more time that I would like to admit trying to find ways to make travel easier. I typically carry at least one portable monitor, my 15.6" personal laptop and my Surface Pro for work. Often, I throw in an extra monitor because I'm extra like that. The location I live in, and the locations to which I travel, coupled with the airline I prefer, means I spend a lot of time on "commuter" planes. The little ones that don't allow for overhead storage for carry-ons. So I either use a tote or a NorthFace backpack and a purse. Did I mention I'm old? Carrying all the electronics literally on my back is trying. Enter this bag. It is small enough to not look like a beach bag if I am out and about. When I am traveling, though, I can shove my Surface and a bag with cords and such, and my wallet, quart size bag, all the things, and carry is like a crossbody. Are you kidding me? Perfection. Like all things Vera Bradley, this purse is very well made, with a number of pockets that are actually useful. The only thing I didn't like was the permanently attached strap. So I permanently removed it and clipped the longer strap to the purse. It's adjustable enough to suit me, and it doesn't get in my way. I wish the shorter strap clipped on, too, but I am not sure I would ever use it. Bottom line - if you travel, this will be useful to you. If you're a mom who carries all the things, you will look great carrying this bag while having quick access to all the necessities. I love it!

Beautiful large over size Vera Bradley bag

This Vera Bradley over sized bag is beautiful!! It has the traditional quilt style look on the exterior and a lovely black and white signature floral design on the interior. The exterior fabric does fit durable and water resistant. I appreciate that this bag has two open and easily accessible pockets great for easy access to my phone, keys or anything else I need quickly. I also like the zippered pocket above the open pockets so that I can safely store my pen and note book or make up and keep it in a confined yet accessible area. I also found a hide away pocket on the exterior that haz the zipper aligned with the exterior seam which is awesome for my wallet or jewelry when I need to take my watch off or something. (Last two photos) This bag is awesome!! It’s a great size and works great for carrying even more than I really honestly need to carry. It’s perfect for our outdoor walks where I have to bring a little water and an extra hoodie for my son. It’s large enough and comfortable to use as a daily tote purse as well. The straps and hinges are REALLY durable. I don’t see my self using the small strap often but, I do really like the longer strap that allows this bag to sit more comfortably. Overall I am loving this bag and all the functionally and convenience it offers. I’m incredibly happy with this bag!

gorgeous VB tote bag!

This bag is chic and minimal -- super lightweight and fits a lot! I'm excited to use this for travel, daily errands, the beach... it's a gorgeous bag! I like that there are two straps which one is adjustable, and it zips shut as well. This would be a great gift -- I know my mom and sister would love this bag! For those women whose style is classic, on-the-go, and versatile. I have the black bag.
