Essential to replacing S200 dome....

This is a thick rubber o-ring which precisely fits the top of a Hayward S200 pool filter where the dome connects to the filter top. Three things you need to know. First, make sure both parts are clean before installing--the flat surface on the top of the filter and the flange on the dome. Clean these surfaces well. Second, you will want to get some silicone grease to lubricate this o-ring. Grease it up well before installing. Third, if your previous o-ring was on the filter any time at all (longer than a month or two, I suspect) you will need to replace it. It will have stretched and become too big over time to be usable.

Fit like a charm

Fit like a charm, solved the problem. And the price was much better than what my local pool supply wanted to charge for the same exact thing. A reasonable markup is one thing, three times the price is another ballgame - so I'll order the replacement parts through Amazon in the future.
