Good lights (4.5 star), somewhat hampered by lackluster software (1 star off for now). First, make sure you order the same bulb model from the same manufacturer. I previously picked up two single-bulb packs of Wiz from another manufacturer at a local home improvement store after reading reviews here. What I didn't realize at the time is that there *are* multiple manufacturers for the same "Wiz" bulb. My primary use-case for these bulbs is the master bath vanity, which has 8 lights total (4 over each sink). I went ahead and put the 2 bulbs in the center fixtures on one side and set them up. When I received this 6-pack from Amazon, I add the other bulbs in. Don't get me wrong, it *works*, but you'll notice that the bulbs are different. They come on at different speeds, have slightly different colors at *some* levels/colors, and in general behave differently. You should *definitely* go ahead and buy all from one source. I've gone ahead and ordered another 6-pack. It's probably better to have 4 extra as future replacements. If you only have "enough" to cover your use-case, you'll likely end up in a situation where you can't get the same model bulb in a few years when you need a replacement. ^^^ No rating adjustment was made based on this. It's just a fact of life. The good news is that the bulbs I received from Amazon are better than the "name brand" Wiz bulbs I bought locally. They come on faster and more reliably from what I've seen so far. Now the bad news -- The app is a bit "weak". If you are just looking for simplicity, then it will be right up your ally. But there are just glaring holes for me purposes. Start with the fact that you'll need to create a group of the lights in order to control them all at one time. Great, no problem there. But once you put a light in a group, then there's no longer any way to control it individually. The "night light" mode is great for the middle of the night, but with 8 bulbs in the master bath, it's still a bit bright in the middle of the night. I wanted to create a scene with only the 2 "outside" bulbs on each vanity on, but this just doesn't appear to be possible with the Wiz v2 app. I don't think it was possible with the v1 app, but I migrated pretty quickly to v2 and there doesn't appear to be a way to go back. Once I migrated to v2, the v1 version simply exits on iOS. I could probably get around this with a full reinstall, but that's not worth it. On the bright side, I run Home Assistant for automation of other smart devices in my home, and Wiz integration with Home Assistant is pretty good. The Home Assistant page for Wiz Integration considers it to be at "platinum level" (the best possible). And Home Assistant can still control the lights individually even after grouping them, so I was able to set up a Home Assistant scene to turn the outside pair of lights to "night light", but have all the others "off". Brightness and colors seem good. I do wish they could slightly dimmer, but the three modes I plan to use the most work just fine: - True color: A nice warm setting that matches the bulbs that were previously in the fixtures. Great for morning. At some point, I might set up a slow transition so that the lights move from True Color to a brighter, cooler light over 10 minutes or so. - Daylight: The brightest, coolest setting. Great for cleaning or shaving. - Custom night-light as mentioned above If you're okay with it, the reds are a bit dimmer than the orange "night light", and also (obviously) should exclude the blues that disturb rest patterns at night. That said, red isn't a very "pleasant" light, even when dim.
