Replacement parts that work better than the ones supplied with my weed wacker

The time finally came when I ran out of string from my original stock. After reading many negative reviews from generic products on here, I took a gamble on this since it said it was Worx and it paid off. These came in the original Worx packaging and break off much less frequently than the stock string that came with my weed Wacker. It could just be a time thing and next season the string will be brittle, but even for one season of hassle free use was worth it.

Hyper Tough weed trimmer replacements!

So thankful I found these. I bought a Hyper Tough weed trimmer in 2020 and just ran out of line, went to Walmart and bought their replacement line only to find that they redesigned their weed trimmers shortly after I bought mine and their replacements no longer fit my model. I googled and researched and could not find a compatible part… I was afraid I was going to have to buy a whole new weed trimmer, but I reached out to HT customer service and the representative directed me to this part.

Totally worth it, replacement twine for Worx cordless weed eaters

The Worx weed eater is thrifty on twine as it is, these fit it and are exactly what is in the weed eater when you buy it. They are wound to perfection, do not jam/get stuck because improperly wound, and last a long time. I weed eat about once a month, and one spool lasts at least half the season, and yes, I have a lot of areas on my acre+ to weedeat. Like stated, the Worx weed eater is thrifty on twine - it doesn't spit out more than you need (leading to waste), and only feeds more if the length is too short. No worrying about winding the twine yourself in the wrong direction, accidentally overlapping layers, or holding the cartridge firmly in your hands while simultaneously trying to tightly wind twine. The price was UNBELIEVABLE for the two of them - about 25% of what would have paid at the wallyworld joint, IF can find it in stock. Totally recommend this product at this price (think it was like $4.24 for 2?). NO, I am not a paid reviewer, I have no incentive to post this review other than to help other real live purchasing Amazon customers make an informed decision. Personally, I detest what Amazon is allowing to happen with the starred ratings becoming "skewed" by years and years of reviewers that have been given a product free of charge in return for an "honest" review. My review is based on my personal use of this product, and I'm taking time out of my busy schedule to try and balance the scales a bit in my own little way by helping out other real live purchasers know a TRULY GOOD product and a GOOD BUY when they read my review.

Did the trick

Lost the original spool that came with my trimmer while trimming tall weeds. I researched the spools on Amazon and found an original WORX spool package, containing two. I really only needed one, since I refill as needed. Reading reviews I was hesitant to order it but took a chance. Firstly, it was in an original WORX packaging (contrary to previous reviews). A plus. It fit my trimmer perfectly and have used it successfully several times. Previous reviews that the string was inadequate were also found to be not true (when used for personal home use). I don't understand previous bad reviews as I have no issues with the product and the price was way more affordable than on the WORX website. I could not find any original spools in any big box stores so was happy with the product being original and readily available on Amazon.

Read Before You Buy...

I have a Worx weedeater that uses the this line. I have been purchasing this line for several years. We do have 1-1/2 acres of yard, so it requires a lot of trimming. This really isn't a very good value for your money, but it's more of a convenience, being there is only 10 feet of line on these small spools. I have found it is not really that durable because it does eat up line. What you need to be aware of, though, is something that I encountered with my last purchase. I put one spool of line on - was doing my regular trimming and noticed it ate the line up very quickly. So I got the second spool - two in a package - and started to examine it more closely as I was installing it. I could actually keep pulling the line out - it did not want to lock in at approx. 5 or 6 inches. What I realized was the line was actually installed BACKWARDS from the factory. I removed all the line, which was going counter-clockwise, and reinstalled it going clockwise - according to the picture on the back of the package, which shows it going clockwise. After doing this, I had no further issues. Basically, I lost one whole spool of line because of a factory control issue. As far as where this WORX line is made - could not find anywhere on the package where it is manufactured. What would be nice for the environment is if the spools could actually be recycled - send them back to the company for a coupon for further purchases, etc. I will say according to the package this is a DNA Line 2 - double helix. I have not researched if I can buy that line on a larger spool to respool onto these spools. Because of these problems, this is the reason for the low rating. I will purchase another package of these spools and see if they are correctly made.

I was very happy I could buy these online

I bought a WORX trimmer at Canadian Tire (on sale), only to discover they didn't sell the replacements in the store. I was very angry about that, but I suppose I should have done my research first... Regardless, I was very happy I could buy these online, and for a fair price.
