Wire grated floor is a godsend for dogs who need to 'go' often
I have a 7.5 lb Yorkie who was able to bend the bars all the way across the side with the door, including the door itself, the first day. He has since been able to bend all of the rest of the bars and some of the cage is rusted even though I keep it indoors. This is because he lifts his leg to pee in the cage and soaks the 'walls' of he cage and of course the pee gets all over the floor. I need a cage that has half solid metal (on bottom half)/half wire sides so that my male dogs aren't peeing outside of the cage. I know this isn't the cage's fault--but I thought the rusting so soon was pretty annoying. This cage is definitely lightweight as advertised which my dog uses to his advantage by moving his cage across the room (the cage is not on wheels). They only way I can keep him in one place is to wedge the cage between heavier items but then he will pee on those items and or shred them. The latch doesn't slide into place easily but I've gotten used to it. I should point out that despite my dog's best efforts he still hasn't been able to actually break out like he did from his previous cages and it's been a year. I just wish the metal was thicker because I worry he might one day bend the bars enough to get his head stuck. THE BEST PART---I bought this cage because I needed the grate on the bottom so my dog can relieve himself without stepping in his own mess all day. I tried cages without the grated floor and it was a nightmare because I would have to bathe the dog first thing when I got home. Every. Single. Day. This cage has eliminated that so it has improved my life tremendously. I can't stress that part enough. If you have a toy breed, puppy or incontinent dog this type of wire flooring with the removable tray for cleaning will improve the quality of your life to the point where you will wonder how you lived without it.

Very cheap material… Will tear up from all ends… don’t purchase
Purchased in middle of January and today it goes in the trash. Comes apart easily, not worth it. I bought for a frenchie puppie.

Not bad. I like that this cage has a grid bottom so rabbit droppings can easily fall to the bottom of the slide out catch tray. We're using this for a dwarf rabbit as a back up cage. I zip tied a flat plastic dish mat from the dollar store on the ground of the cage for him to stand on and his feet look healthy and normal. Face it, rabbits can be messy in that their hay seems to always find its way to the floor outside the cage so, sweeping up must be a daily practice. I like that the cage is open to the air. I can bring it outside and let the bun get fresh air without fearing that the neighborhood hawk will have him for lunch if I run inside for a moment. The bottom pull out tray may miss the edges of the cage because it is a little smaller than the cage that it sits under so, use folded newspaper and lay that in the catch tray and place a puppy pad or an old towel over an old plastic mat or cut open and lay flat a large garbage bag underneath the entire cage to keep the floor clean and dry. The cage is not an industrial strong-as-steel cage so be gentle. Don't press your weight on it to help you stand up after bending down to clean it. But, for my purposes it is good enough and the price was very right. If you need an affordable bunny cage in a pinch this can work you just have to be willing to work with it.

fantastic for the price, but the door could pose a choking hazard
This spiffy cage is attractive and super quick to assemble -- just unfolds and snaps into position in a minute or two -- even for a non-mechanical person like me. The folded position is not at all bulky -- excellent for those with storage limitations. Unlike other cages I have had, it has no sharp edges or fixtures. The black-coated metal is fairly light gauge & probably not suitable for a very strong animal, but it is fine for a cat or puppy. It is clean looking and well designed, and the bottom tray is handy for protecting your floor/carpet from spills. My only criticism is that the closing mechanism is not particularly secure; the cat I was housing in it (to acclimate him to the resident cat) almost pushed the two light bolts into the open position the first night he was in it. I can imagine a scenario where an animal could push open one of the bolts and get its caught head in the space between the door and the cage, and having its neck compressed witout being able to escape. (I know of a toddler who strangled in a similar manner in a crib with a top that was not secure.) I now use a couple binder clips at the upper and lower ends of the door to make sure this doesn't happen. But with those caveats, it is a fantastic product for the price.

Nice crate but door is flimsy
Overall the crate is a great value. I originally got it for my rabbit but the door is just too flimsy and I think I would have to use another reviewer's method of binder clips to secure it - otherwise it would be too easy for an animal to wiggle out or worse get stuck pushing it's head through the door. I did get it from the warehouse so it's possible that it was bent and then returned but really the door should be more solid and have a better locking mechanism. The crate is overall made well except for the door and it does indeed assemble and collapse very easy to a great storage size. The pull out unit underneath will make cleaning easy. The bottom wire has spacing too big for a rabbit or cat so would need to put a layer of cardboard or cloth to protect little feet -for a dog I think it would be fine. I was going to return it but decided given the good deal to keep it as I could use it if I need to take my cat with me since she's on a medical regime, and it's folded up totally out of the way under the bed so storage is not an issue. Given the good pricing I think it's a good buy if you are prepared to do a little work securing the door and don't have a vigorous animal who will be testing it's limits.

Flimsy
It is crazy flimsy dog cage, been waiting for a wire floor one but this is unusable. The sides will fall in unless tie wrapped together. It has been here 20min and already posted for sale ½ price as easier then sending back.

it is nice that it folds down and good for small dog
it works well for our use (just when we visit friends) some of the metal ends are very sharp and can cause injury to the dogs eyes or elsewhere so I had to tape the ends to prevent that. it is nice that it folds down and good for small dog.

Very useful
I use this for baby African greys, love that there is a bottom grate and size is perfect until babies are ready to transition to a full size cage. Easy to fold and store away when not in use
