I love this vise. It is just a beast and will handle things with ease. Trying to determine how I will final mount it to get the most out of it. Two thumbs up here.

Industrial Vice

Simply put this is an extra large vice that is suitable to use for the largest project you can accomplish at your home. I would say vices this size are used to repair a diesel powered train. The anvil is good addition and it stands up to extreme hammering.

Easy installation

I installed the Yost vice on my workbench in the garage. See photo. I was worried it might be difficult to install because the front of my bench has a 10 inch deep border which might not accommodate a hex bolt installation. However, no worries because I simply used two long wood screws for the two front 1/2 inch holes filling part of those holes with rubber spacers. I used hex bolts on the back 2 holes. Not only does the vice work great, when I had questions about the installation, Yost called me in response to my email inquiry to assure I understood their input. Excellent customer service. Locking handles on both sides don’t sit flush and are hazardous. Main handle is bent

Torque down handle is bad, bent The side screws that clamp the swivel part in place, do not sit flush against the frame. They stick out in the tight position and are hazardous.

This is a pretty large vice.

It is larger than I had expected. A vice is one of those things you don't want to go cheap on and get just enough. I think the value to price is great!

Great value, built like a tank.

Was a little worried it would be damaged in transit because it's so heavy, but it was packed very well from the factory and arrived in perfect shape. I can't speak to the longevity or durability b/c I just bought it, but this thing is built like a tank, opens/closes with a nice, smooth action and is even finished well (the paint is bright and uniform). I also bought the magnetic, rubber jaws for holding easily-scratched items and they work well. I had a little 4" vise I bought from Harbor Freight but it was just too small for some projects I do. This is quite a step up in size and quality. And with free shipping for something that weighs close to 50 pounds, you can't go wrong! Very happy so far. Can't see me breaking this any time soon but will re-review if it does.

Great vise for home prosumers or professionals as well

Great vise for home prosumers or professionals as well. It's a perfect size for any task you might need to complete at home. At 6.5 inches it's able to take care of any kind of job you might throw at it. It secures to your work bench using four 1/2" bolts (not included), I would recommend a bench top of at least 1.5" of solid wood, if you don't have a bench like this I would say add a couple extra pieces of wood under your bench to make up for the thickness. The vise can spin 360 degrees and has two pivot locks to ensure a solid position. The rotation feature is not completely customizable as there are specific notches that it will lock into, but I haven't found any limiting position, it works in all the positions I need it to. There are a couple machining marks on the anvil, would have been nicer if it was better finished. I don't know if there's a technical term for it, but the screw handle is not the smoothest. I even added more grease to try and lubricate it, but you can feel grit and roughness when you open and close the vise. There's also a good amount of wiggle when the vise is not under load, but once it's closed it locks up tight. The vise is made in China, but for the price it's hard to beat. Overall it's a very very good vice.

Pros: Very well made Quality and precise Can rotate 360 degrees for many applications Prime free two day shipping for such a heavy item Cons: Would love to include mounting bolts. We found ourselves doing more and more projects around the house. When sawing anything with resistance, or affixing anything that required a steady hand. I had unwisely used a platform and my left foot. Well as you can guess things never really came out with any quality or precision. So it was time to buy a Vise. I shopped around and as I learned more about what features I wanted in a Vise I found this product on Amazon and listed as Amazon Prime. This thing is rightfully heavy, it supposed to be, as it's very solidly built. There were others around the internet that fit my feature set, but the shipping prices made it prohibitive, as these things weigh alot. So what was I looking for in a Vise? 360 degree rotation. Easy adjustments. The ability to mount to my work table and a size that would be applicable to most novice home user use. This product fulfilled all that. I have used it in a variety of applications, and the thing still looks new. It will probably the first and only table vice I will ever need. Using it after a few months now, I can't see this thing ever breaking, it's just quality all around. My only thing was that for my specific installation I had to go to the local store to get bolts, washers and nuts to affix it to my table. If these were included, I'd be on cloud nine. In a world were things are made disposable, there is nothing as satisfying as working with a product that does the job and will out last my life span.

Estuve analizado opciones por varios dias y este fue el que más me agrado por la relación calidad precio. Muy resistente. Se supone que es para trabajos ligeros pero yo lo veo de calidad industrial.
