Great Value and Very Stylish
The square that the look sits on is very nice looking. We purchased Schlage interior door handles with a similar square so this deadbolt design really compliments those and reinforces a design element that is carried through the house.

Worth the price.
It seemed a bit pricey but is a really solid lock. The hardware that comes with it far exceeds other manufactures.

So easy to install!
I gave up on the cheap Chinese product that was very difficult to assemble. (Also bought from Amazon) Based on technology I hadn't seen in years. (Trying to hook two wobbly tines from each direction). It took me only a couple of minutes to put this lock in place and secured. And it looks attractive too. I expect it was made in China, as so much is. But the technology and design is made for ease of use and installation. And the directions are clear.

Quality brand!
Lost my keys :( Called locksmith, after:45 minutes he could not open lock! Had to drill the deadbolt. Than had to replace it,,, you had the exact matching bold to the handle! Received it the next day! Thanks!!!

Let me start by saying I’ve installed and changed dozens of locks over the years and this by far has been the biggest head scratcher for me. I don’t know if it was just think particular lock I got or if they all come like this but my lock came almost disassembled! The tail piece that’s part of the wasn’t screwed down. It’s typical already assemble with the lock unit. Trying to put it back together without the Schlage cylinder tool was almost impossible. And no…the included instructions didn’t tell me how to do this. YouTube did. Even when was able to assemble it, without the cylinder tool, I couldn’t properly screw down the nut enough. They were a lot of random springs and pins in the box…no idea what it’s for. Assuming it’s for purposes of re-key. Again, instructions made no mention of these parts. Even when assembled and finally on the door, the key didn’t turn properly. Had to do a lot of jiggling and get it to lock and unlock. This shouldn’t be this case with new keys. Also, hardware had scratches and dings on them. See my pics. I’ve used Schlage in the past and they usually have quality products but for some reason this one was a pain. Maybe I got a defective product. Maybe this was a return that someone else couldn’t figure out. Maybe they all come this way. But hopefully you have better luck with this than I do. This is likely going to be returned, which is unfortunate, because I got it at a good sale price and it really does look nice. Functionally, it’s a no-no for me.

Looks GREAT, feels durable
Perfect for my new front door and well worth the extra cost vs a regular schlage deadbolt. I love it. It has only been in for a couple of months but the issues I was worried about were: 1-Finish - Will the keyhole start showing scratches - it has NONE yet, with two young guys living here and regular use. 2-Screws - Will the screws hold tight so the squares stay straight - yes, it does. I have had some where through regular use the screws come loose along with the deadbolt. I made it sufficiently tight and it seems to be staying. 3-Throw - Will the bolt go all the way without stopping against the wood in the door frame so I don't have to drill more - yes. Works perfectly 4-Fit - Will everything fit in a brand new prehung door without modification - Sort of... See below Now, the only issue I have with Schlage deadbolts is that they are intended to be installed with their high security plate behind the decorative plate that goes in your door frame. If you are replacing a Kwikset deadbolt you can use the old plate if you wish, understanding that the grade of security is not as high, but going this route saved me from having to chisel out for the larger plate. If you want to use the supplied stuff and do it as the mfr intends, you will probably need a small chisel to make the hole in your door frame a little larger for the bigger plate. All in all I love the Century collection. Schlage makes nice, durable products that are dependable for as long as you own it. I have never had an issue with a Schlage product.

Nice Modern Look and Very Solid
We had to replace Baldwin lock that was very flimsy - and the Baldwin lock was new from the builder. It last 3 months. The handle with loosen and we could not open the door. Anyway, our locksmith recommended Schlage as the most solid and secure lock. We were looking for a sleek, modern look. It was hard as Schlage isn't the most stylish of brands. We found this one and love it. We like the square outer shape and the knob shape is nice. We like how the door knob automatically unlocks from the inside when we turn it - so we don't lock ourselves out. When locking it with your key from the outside when leaving, you can lock both the deadbolt and the door knob or just the deadbolt. It feels a lot more solid and secure than the Baldwin. It looks great too!

A very solid lock.
Bought this lock and not yet installed. Present lock is missing one screw but fits well and is solid. I will replace it soon with this Schlage lock. Great product.
