Received with a cut across the Leather top surface

Overall, I liked the appearance and color of this leather ottoman by Rivet. I purchased it with the hope it would make a chair and ottoman set for the Rivet “Cove” leather chair(s) I own. Planned to purchase another for my other matching chair if so. The ottoman I received was a close (not exact) match as far as the ‘caramel’ color leather of my chair. I think with age and use the leather of the 2 pieces would have potentially become a little closer to a visually identical color match. The legs and leg hardware for attaching them are shipped in a zippered compartment accessed via the bottom side of this piece. They are reasonably basic to install and there’s an allen-key included so no tool ownership is depended on for the task. You could install the 4 wood ottoman legs without instructions or prior experience since the parts and process are simpler to assess than any existing Ikea type items that provide illustrated clues. If you can look at a 12 piece traditional puzzle and put it together on sheer common sense, this is an equally non-challenging task. My flooring is hard, the ottoman is listed as weighing a little more than 20lbs and I found that it slides like crazy away from my chair to any one side plus forward shifting movement combined during normal use. I cut some non-slip shelf-liner to help prevent the unwanted chaotic movement and that’s fine, but my ideal would be a weightier furniture piece that remains where placed in the room by being of whatever minimal substantiative weight is necessary to achieve the static position desired. Perhaps substantiative weight becomes more common with whatever inner construction materials might be used to build nice leather ottomans like this but within a more premium price and construction range — probably the case, so this aspect and all others mentioned so far can be reasoned into general satisfaction as a customer…. E x c e p t this final flaw: The new ottoman I received presented no concerns on visual presentation from the outer shipping box to the protective shipping materials of the interior of the box one removes to assemble the hidden legs and put it in place. Notably, I must share in this review to browsing customers who are considering purchasing, upon the ottoman I received actually sitting in my intended space abutting the seat of my matching Rivet chair — I found after a minor adjustment to our thermostat setting which slightly adjusted the temp of our home for optimal seasonal comfort (a difference of 2-3 degrees Fahrenheit) on return to my generally satisfactory new leather ottoman to this point revealed that a minor relaxation of the fitted leather upholstery and this minimal shift of the material from firmly taut to very slightly less so exposed a box-cutter encounter that visual evidence indicates most likely happened pre-packaging of the item in its new manufacturer’s shipment box (there were no signs the box had ever undergone opening and re-sealing post manufacturer’s preparation process). I’d estimate that this leather-flaw is about 8 inches in overall damage positioned toward the center of the top ottoman surface. I checked in my Amazon account purchase history what options were available to me under assumption I probably needed to initiate utilization of Rivet’s 30 day free returns/exchanges Amazon policy declared in the item details page of my recollection, however, the actual website offered an additional option for me to call a clickable 800 number directly from my iPhone Amazon website app to “report an issue with this item” after clicking on this purchase listed among all my recent purchases. An Amazon representative in India offered me a painless and easy opportunity to take a partial refund on the item purchase amount paid in my choice of a 50 percent max credit back to my original payment method used OR an equal credit amount back on Amazon gift card which is a digital Amazon account credit that can be used like an activated gift card funded into your future purchase payment method options. I chose to take a partial refund rather than initiating return/exchange process, and am satisfied with that resolution. While I intended to purchase a new and perfect item, I realize I got an acceptably flawed ottoman at a fraction of what I would have spent otherwise. My disappointment has been remedied and I hope this review gives you a little extra detail to help decide between your options.

Smaller than pictured

Love this ottoman, the color is just as picture a nice cognac tan. I would be nice if it were bigger to use perhaps as a coffee table style but it is too small for a 5x7 rug.

Quality leather piece for an affordable price!

I bought this ottoman to go with the matching chairs for my bedroom. It did not disappoint. It came quickly, is quality, easy to put together and sturdy.

Great ottoman!

Exceeded expectations! After searching for months, I finally ordered this ottoman and I’m so glad I took a chance. The leather is high quality, very supple and a nice acorn/cognac color. I was worried it would be too orange, but it looks much better in person. It’s very comfy and has a pillow top. Took about 2 minutes to assemble. Overall a great purchase for a great price.

Randomly split...?

I love this ottoman - it's the perfect size, great shade of tan, and really soft. The only problem is that it split, completely randomly, overnight! It looks like it was cut but it wasn't. I can't figure out what happened. I would love to exchange it or have it replaced. I can't give it high marks on durability because of that, but otherwise it feels sturdy. The only thing I'd otherwise improve would be to add storage space.

Beautiful ottoman!

Looks so beautiful in our space and is exactly what we were looking for!! Little assembly (basically just screwing in the legs) light weight but sturdy enough to be used as a great ottoman. Beautiful color!!! We are so happy with our purchase!!

Love it! Kid friendly!

Really like this! I spent a lot of time finding the right piece for our living room and I’m so glad I chose this. I have a 3 year old and 1 year old and needed something durable that looked nice! Would recommend this to anyone and plan to buy things from this company in the future.
