Fairly relieving
Not as much traction as I would like, but it is nice to take a gentle load off of the cervical vertebrae.

Just as good as any in my opinion.
All the over-the-door neck traction units are basically of the same design. I have found this one to be just as functional as I would expect any to be. The only difference is in the halter that goes around your head. Other brands may be slightly better quality with heavier material and better velcro on the straps that secure the back of your head. But this one works just as well and it's much cheaper. The water bag seams are not leaking and I have found no problem with the quality of the water bag either. I've also located a great video. It not only helps you assemble everything correctly, but he shows you how to get into it and out of it without any assistance from anybody. This can be quite a problem according to several reviews. But this video makes it as easy as can be and I'm sure you will find the same. I can remove it from the door and have it operational again in 15 seconds as a single living alone. Here is that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lANg9_9aVOM Another tip I can offer as well that I think you will love...instead of tying the rope directly on to the water bag, I bought an "S" hook at the hardware store. I tied the rope to the S hook. Now I can just hook the water bag on and unhook it whenever I want. This makes it very simple to store the water bag separately from the rest of the unit when it's not being used. I'm happy with this purchase and now that I can use it very easily myself without any assistance, it couldn't get much better than that.

Solid investment for the price.
This item was great for traction, though it made my jaw sore with continued use. Still, absolutely worth the money and very reasonable for a home unit. If you're planning on getting a spinal fusion, don't waste hundreds of dollars on one of the extra-nice supine traction units; you won't be able to use it after this. Instead, this is a solid investment that, even though I won't be able to use it anymore, I can pass on to someone else, and I certainly got my money's worth on it. Definitely do as another reviewer suggested and use a hook for the bag, to make it easier to take off and on. I left mine on for ease, but when it came time to empty and change out the water, it made things a lot easier. As another reviewer suggested, sit facing the unit, so that the halter pulls your head up and just slightly forward. You'll get a better, healthier stretch that way. I can confirm that it relieved my symptoms a bit, though not quite as well as mechanical traction-- but who has forty bucks to drop on specialist copays for PT several times a week? Not this girl.

Start light on the water
This works great and was a reasonable price. Don't overdo the water at first. Start with a coupe of pounds and work your way up. My neurosurgeon sad to just put enough where you feel a little tension. I got carried away with the water up front and I hurt for a couple of days. I backed way off and slowly added more. It's been doing great since then.

I have some disc issues throughout my cervical spine and I recently must have herniated one of them. So much pain and medication really brought no relief. I was looking up alternative methods and saw that traction could be used. So I went looking for a traction device and found this one. The very first time I used it I felt some immediate relief. Within two weeks I no longer needed to use it. I have some lingering tingling going on which my neurologist is working with me on, but it is nothing as far as I am concerned compared to the extreme pain I was in. Worth every penny!

Pretty Good for Herniated Discs
Pretty good traction device for herniated, cervical discs. Easy to assemble and put over the door. Takes a bit of practice to get the head harness on but after a few times it is easier.
