Clam Outdoors začal jako výrobce kvalitního vybavení pro rybaření na ledě před více než 30 lety. Na začátku to začalo přístřeškem ve stylu přenosného kufru, který se otevíral jako škeble (odtud pochází název společnosti), ale vše se rozjelo, když nadšený rybář jménem Dave Genz přišel se zbrusu novým konceptem. Chtěl si postavit přenosný ledový rybářský dům, který by ho chránil před povětrnostními vlivy a zároveň mu umožňoval být mobilní. Tak si jednu vyrobil. Pak další a další a začali je prodávat rybářům přes ledový pás. Když si uvědomil, že má něco, co všichni chtěli, spojil své síly se Clamem, který byl schopen pomoci s rostoucí poptávkou po původní pasti na ryby.

Easy set up, Poor fit though

This adapter does not fit the ORANGE Nils auger! This is only for the BLUE Nile auger. Be forewarned lol. There’s a guy on eBay who sells a custom made adapter that will fit the ORANGE auger, but it does cost more.

Works on Nils auger after grinding the inside.

It doesn't fit out of the packaging. However for the price you can't go wrong. Just took my dremel tool and grind inside and removed a small portion of material and it fits.

It worked wonders!

We welded this to our ice fishing auger and it fit the adapter coming off the Clam cordless drill adapter like a glove! If it wasn't meant to be welded, Tough!!! we did it any way!

adapter fit

After reading some reviews that reported that the adapter didn't fit the Nils auger, I took a chance and purchased this adapter for a Nils 8" hand auger (blue). It was true that the adapter wouldn't go on at first, but I took some sandpaper to the auger shaft and after a few minutes, the adapter fit quite nicely. I did put a touch of white lithium grease on the shaft and the adapter now slides on and off easily. I would rather the fit was snug than loose.

Fitment issues

Looks great however it did not fit on any 3 of my Blue Nils version. The adapter was a tad bit on the small end and will not fit even with force. So i took it in my own hands and used a dremel to bore it out til it slipped on. Clam needs to correct their specs as it isn't spot on.

Great product!

They must have made modifications to the previous dimensions because mine fit. It was a bit tight going onto the auger but just a light tap with a rubber hammer and it went on

Too small to accept my Nils auger

Not a great product as it’s useless without modification. It just a little to small to accept my blue 8” Nils. Not happy about it!

only works on "certain" models of Nils

also picture does not represent item received. I've had to "adapt" shaft on Clam plate to accommodate.
