Pokud máte problémy s rozestupem příslušenství na tažném zařízení, jako je nosič jízdních kol nebo nákladní nosič, nebo potřebujete dát svému kulovému držáku a spojce přívěsu trochu místa navíc, může vám pomoci prodlužovač závěsu CURT. Prodloužení závěsu jsou jednoduše trubice přijímače, které se zasouvají do závěsu přívěsu, aby se přidal určitý prostor pro nárazník vašeho vozidla nebo náhradní pneumatiku namontovanou na zadní straně. Prodlužovač tažného zařízení umožňuje velmi snadno poskytnout vašemu tažnému nákladu prostor, který vyžaduje, a pomáhá chránit vaše vozidlo před oděrkami, poškrábáním a dokonce i promáčknutím. SNADNÁ INSTALACE. Chcete-li nainstalovat tento držák kulového závěsu třídy 3 na vaše vozidlo, jednoduše vložte dřík do 2palcového držáku závěsu vašeho vozidla. Zaoblená stopka usnadňuje instalaci. Poté zajistěte stopku na místě pomocí závěsného kolíku (prodává se samostatně). KOROZIVZDORNÝ. Pro dlouhodobé používání je tento kulový závěs chráněn odolným práškovým lakem, který snadno odolává poškození deštěm, špínou, sněhem, posypovou solí a dalšími korozivními hrozbami. PŘIPRAVEN K TAŽENÍ. Zapřažení přívěsu je snadné s tímto 2palcovým kulovým držákem. Má stopku 2 palce x 2 palce, aby se vešla prakticky do jakéhokoli průmyslového standardního 2palcového přijímače. This thing works great, but measure before buying.
I really like this style because of its length. I actually bought a different brand of these, and with them sitting side-by-side the length of the Curt was about 7 inches shorter. Some of the other models add unnecessary length in the receiver tube that goes into your vehicle bumper which adds a long lever point and gives little or no benefits. If you look through reviews on other brands, people have bent them without going over the maximum weight. In my use I was pretty close to 250/275 pounds of weight on this, and it held just fine. The main thing you need to do as you can see from the pictures is measure before buying. My Yakima rack for my bikes stuck out too far and the last bike would have interfered with the bow of my boat. In order to clear that I grabbed the welder and burned in a quarter inch receiver adapter so that I could slide my rack all the way in without modifying it, and instead just modify these cheaper parts. The added benefit is I can actually load the trailer on the ball while the bike rack is on. It will depend on what bike rack you have , and how long your ball receiver is, but I really like how short and compact this set up is compared to many others.

Excellent Product, Amazing Service
Was looking for one of these, thought this one looked a bit wimpy in the pictures but, because I already own several Curt products and know better, I ordered it. Just before midnight, Thursday. Price was good, and the vendor, Trends Auto, provides free shipping which was good because this was not eligible for my Prime shipping. Because I was in a hurry to get it, I sent Trends Auto an email asking that they ship quickly. I received a prompt reply promising they would do what they could, got it Saturday morning. Now, I often get packages from Georgia to my home in NC and they always seem to arrive super quickly so I'm not sure that Trends Auto bent over backwards but at the very least they sure didn't mess around either. Thank you Trend Auto employee. Just to be clear, I did not pay for or ask for expedited shipping ... shipping was free and all I asked for was a little consideration. Got it, like I said, the very next day, Saturday. As for the receiver extension, it is heavy duty as hell. Much more so than one would think given the tendency for these to be used by someone towing and at the same time carrying a bike rack. Top quality with respect to the welds and finish. Fair amount of space between the top and bottom receivers, more than appears from the pictures. If you have a winch bolted to a receiver platform, which is how I'm going to use it, then THIS is the dual receiver extension to get. Included is a heavy duty pin and clip ... something I missed when reading the ad. Again, don't be deceived by the picture, any discussion of bike racks, or the posted weight limits ... this is a very, very heavy duty piece and I have no doubt I could break or bend a dozen pins before I break this extension. Once again, EXCELLENT product, Curt, and EXCELLENT service first time out, Trends Auto. Edit 4/7/12: Used a 8500# winch to pull a tree, roots and all, onto a car trailer. Root ball was 5-6' across, the whole thing pretty much used up the trailer. Heavy, heavy, heavy. Had the winch on a hitch platform and the platform in this dual extension. Back of the dually was wrenched over, the trailer was groaning like it was gonna break in a hundred pieces, winch and this piece and the hitch were twisting back and forth. Winch maxed out a couple of times. Not a problem ... this Curt piece took the load. Plain and simple. Great product.

Very Loose Fit
Fits in the Receiver with way more thrust clearance side to side than I've ever seen with any hitch accessory. Since the size of the tube is too large for most silencers, I'd have to buy a bigger one or have a cuatome u-bolt and locking plate made. Also, the locking pin that was included, it was shipped with the key in the cylinder whoch broke off as it was put inside the receiver tube and hot everything so it is useless. Pretty much a waste of money for me as it is past the 30 day mark and cannot be returned!

Built almost the way I would have built one.
I was having serious debate as to which dual receiver extender to buy. Looking at some others and what appears to be catastrophic failures I almost went out and bought the materials to make my own. But, before I did I went with the Curt as it's an actual brand name there would at least be some quality control. That being said I knew I made the right decision as soon as I felt the weight when I picked up the package. This thing is beast. The tongue is solid square bar which extends about 3" into the receiver tube. The receiver tube had holes drilled in on the sides which were filled with weld in addition to the rear part of the receiver tube being welded to the tongue. The two receivers as well as the horizontal extension are 3/16" steel. Also, as one can see, both receiver tubes have the lip reinforced. Lastly, this item came with a hitch pin with clip (behind that sticker you see on the lower receiver in the product pic). I'm actually not planning on towing anything, just going to mount a bicycle carrier on top and a aluminum cargo carrier on the bottom. I now feel I can drive worry free knowing that I won't have to look in the rear-view mirror seeing cars dodging bikes and scattered clothing on the highway.

Heavy Duty!
Very heavy duty. Strong welds. The only problem is that my current tow hitch doesn't line up with the holes in the adapter. The adapter doesn't allow my current hitch to go back far enough to line up the holes so I can put in my hitch pin. I will take my hitch in and see if they can cut some off of the end to make it fit or I may just have to buy a new one. (This is my problem, not CURTS) Also, I don't know if this thing is powder coated or what but the black surface coating is already starting to wear away and I haven't even used it yet. That being said, it is a trailer hitch adapter and it doesn't have to look pretty! I am happy with the purchase, just wish my hitch had fit with it. It will allow me to tow my pop-up tent trailer and carry a bicycle rack at the same time!
