Vlastní kabelový konektor CURT (někdy nazývaný T-konektor) je jednoduché elektrické zařízení typu plug-and-play, které eliminuje potřebu řezání, spojování a pájení při instalaci kabeláže mezi vozidlem a přívěsem. Většina vozidel není připravena k odtažení. Pokud vaše vozidlo nemá tažný paket, pravděpodobně není vybaveno konektorem kabeláže přívěsu. Zde přicházejí ke slovu vlastní kabelové konektory CURT. Was not plug and play

I ordered this for my 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty at the same time as I ordered a Reese hitch for it. My truck originally only had the 4 way plug, so my thought was with this I’d be able to keep the 4 way and then also gain the functionality of a 7 way as well. Both products came in the same day so I went to mount the bracket for this on the Reese hitch prior to installing on the truck and immediately noticed you only get 4 screws total, when there’s spots for 6 (2 to mount the bracket on the hitch or vehicle, and 4 to mount the plug to the bracket). So I used 2 for the bracket and then 2 on the plug. Not world ending but it would have been nice to receive 6 so we didn’t have empty slots. From there a friend and I went to install the hitch on the truck. After mounting the hitch I went to find the USCAR plug for this harness and it was nowhere to be found, even though this harness said it fit my truck. Maybe my truck doesn’t have a factory tow package, it’s 20 years old and I bought it about a year ago so I’m unaware of what all it originally came equipped with from the factory. However, my truck did not have the USCAR plug. It did have the 7 wires needed to wire this system into place though. I just had to cut the plug off of this and then use butt connectors to install it into the trucks wiring. After that it works fine, but it turned a 30 second plug and play job into about 30-45 minutes of trying to find a wiring diagram and having to match things on my own. Not the end of the world because I was able to get it to work, however this is not what I thought I was getting. At the end of the day I’m giving this an overall rating of 4 stars because it is made well, but they short you 2 screws and also didn’t fit my truck as advertised. I would have rated 3 stars, but I’m going to say the fitment issue is probably my own doing since I don’t know if I have the factory tow package or not.

Easy to install and it works great.

I like the fact that you just plug in to the factory trailer wiring harness which literally took me about a minute to do and then you can simply just mount it in an appropriate place Using a drill and some sheet metal screws and if you already previously had a similar type of unitinstalled you can literally pull out the old screws and put it right in and the whole thing takes about 5 minutes assuming the old screws aren't rusted.

Easy Peezy

2010 Ford F-150. Person I bought truck from had backed into a post and mangled the trailer connector and bracket, see pics. After using dremel tool to remove old bracket, the new bracket supplied in the kit fits perfectly using self tapping screws. The new plug simply plugged into the factory connector, and tested 100%. Well worth the money.

Does not fit!

This is NOT a direct fit for a 2004 ford super duty as advertised. This was a part that the Amazon algorithm picked for my specific vehicle. I guess buyer beware! It said that item was plug and go, but now I will spend hours modifying it to fit. I will avoid this brand from now on! UPDATE “Curt manufacturing” responded to an email of my fitment issues with no concern, no assistance offered, and basically told me it was my fault, and that they don’t even have a plug to fit the original equipment on my truck. They know it’s not plug and go and advertised as such anyway.

Works as intended!

I don't tow, but I purchased this to replace my new trucks regular 7 pin connector since it didn't come with a 4 pin connector. It plugged right into my 2004 Chevy Silverado 5.3L ZR1 trucks factory harness. Checked compatibility through etrailer.com which is also how I found this harness. Installed the bracket right into the bumper with self tappers, tied it all up, installed my tailgate LED strip and works just fine. Would definitely recommend.
